[2011-04-30] Bayern Munich vs Schalke 04

Postby MUTU » Mon Apr 25, 2011 2:29 pm

This is the 3rd from last match. Schalke 04 are busy concentrating on the Champions League and the German Cup which are their last chances for playing in European competition next season. They are playing in Manchester on Tuesday in a match that will undoubtly be tiring for them.

On the other hand, FC Bayern are desperate to win in the last competition they are participating in, and are trying to overtake Hannover 96 in the Bundesliga standings in order to play in the qualifiers for next season's Champions League.

The spotlight will certainly be on Manuel Neuer, the Schalke goalkeeper who is in the midst of a lot of controversy regarding his future, where he is widely expected to be FC Bayern's goalkeeper next season.

Arjen Robben is back from his 2 match suspension, but Pranjic, Altintop and Olic are still out.

FC Bayern have failed to win in their last 4 home matches against Schalke 04. The last time that FC Bayern beat Schalke 04 in Munich was on 31st March 2007! Manuel Neuer was the man of the match in 3 of the last 5 matches between the two teams at the Allianz Arena, and he's only let in 2 goals in the last 4 matches at the Allianz Arena!

Bundesliga 06/07 | 31/03/2007 | FC Bayern München vs FC Schalke 04 2-0 (1-0)
Bundesliga 07/08 | 15/09/2007 | FC Bayern München vs FC Schalke 04 1-1 (0-1)
Bundesliga 08/09 | 25/04/2009 | FC Bayern München vs FC Schalke 04 0-1 (0-1)
Bundesliga 09/10 | 07/11/2009 | FC Bayern München vs FC Schalke 04 1-1 (1-1)
DFB-Pokal 10/11 Semifinal | 02/03/2011 | FC Bayern München vs FC Schalke 04 0-1 (0-1)

WIN, GODDAMMIT, WIN! If this is not a win, then we could just as well send all our players home to jack off, because chances of getting a Champs spot would be the same.

We can only hope that Schalke will have their minds on ManU and Robben is itching to get back in the game.
The ideal team

When is the Old Trafford game for them? Next week?

Because last saturday they benched some starters so maybe we are lucky and Rangnick does the same [-o< (This pray shows how mediocre are we at the moment :| )

Their Old Trafford game is actually next Wednesday Mutu. Their game tomorrow is at home. So they will probably rest their key players against us. [-o<

It's a bit pathetic to be an FC Bayern fan and pray that Schalke will rest their players so we can win, but I will join the prayer [-o< [-o< :)

Hope they give Neuer some rest too :P :P

Yes, this is why we must hope that they get a decent result tomorrow. If they lose by a large margin and the tie is decided in the first leg, there will be no reason for them to rest any players.
Super Bayern!

Look theny cant get anything from BL so they need to let players to calm before 2nd game against manutd
so only thing is we need is that Schalke play draw or win against man

I guess we will see the stupid Koan Neuer banners again. At least I hope that there won't be as much as in the DFB Pokal game :x

Or maybe Rangnick will bench him because it will be a weird game for him.

If he benches him we might as well play against our U-9s because Schalke are at the same level without him.

Let's not exagerate and remember that they beat us in the Allianz Arena only last month. If our U-9s were good enough to score 7 goals against Inter, perhaps we should have played them instead of Ribery, Robben, and co.
