Welcome to the forum!

I would like Alaba to get another chance, or even Usami, because Kroos himself got more than one chance even when he wasn't playing well. However, considering that he played well for the NT, probably Kroos will be starting again.

Gustavo as CAM and Kroos as CDM given Löw's recent praises for his distribution and accuracy in passing? All this given Müller RW, Robben benched, Gomez ST and Ribery LW...

Nah, Schewini as CAM and Kroos+Gustavo CDM sounds better... Bastian has a far stronger shot than Luis.

We don't have a Robben replacement, so if he can't play we should switch to 4-3-3 with Kroos as midfielder

I wouldn't be surprised to see this happening, Xabi. Surely Jupp watched the international games and how Kroos works better when not so close to the striker.

Yeah, probably best option. Kroos hasn't been playing well for Bayern in the 4-2-3-1 in any of the AM positions

I dont care if we lose 0-3 but we should rest ALL our 11 starting players, BL is meaningless compared to CL.

Act thats the way i play in Fifa Manager, i use 12 to 21 when a CL game is close.

You will never see any manager rest all of his first 11 for a weekend League match just because he has an upcoming CL game midweek. It doesn't make sense unless the League game was meaningless and the Bundesliga was already won. Jupp has Rafinha and Boateng both well rested and Gustavo and Tymo have split minutes so neither is worn down. If we have a two or three goal lead then take Schweinsteiger and Muller and maybe Lahm out in the second half.

Exactly.

Come on, maybe if we were playing Man City I would agree with you, and I still wouldn't rest EVERYONE because every game in the league is important, whoever the opponent. But Villareal? You don't seriously believe we're going to lose against Villareal just because we didn't rest our players? Villareal are good but we are better. If we lose it won't be because we didn't rest our players, but because of some other mistake by us.

Besides, Muller played very few minutes against Poland (and assisted 2 goals in 20 minutes or so he played, so a great confidence booster). Schweini and Neuer didn't play at all against Poland. Rafinha and Gustavo didn't play, and Boateng didn't play in both NT matches. Gomez is coming off an injury, so maybe he shouldn't play 90 minutes against Freiburg as a precaution. The only ones who really need a rest are Lahm and especially Ribery.

We should play our best 11 and then sub RIbery, Gomez... if we are comfortably winning in the second half.

Remember that we are still in September.

Even then, he missed playing the last two weeks... I would keep him 90". He is usually not injury prone.
