I'd have liked to see Sanchez come on to give the game a but if impetus, c'est la vie.

Oh, I'm interested to see how Olly Burke does for Leipzig, now that he is on.

On the 90 minutes, Costa is man of the match for me.

Thiago is invisible and bad in the second half... Far from what he did in the first.

I love it, we're not even taking it seriously. Absolutely toying with the opposition.

Thanks to Lewandowski mostly and tough luck on some posts or misplaced passes we didn't humiliate them, frustrating but the performance and the final score top at BuLi makes my day!

Congratulations to the team & staff we restorted our authority, we found ourselves with that 4-2-3-1 formation, I saw Muller having a good laugh at the bench seems that everybody is happy, Vidal was on a good mood at his substitution, Thiago's performance at first half was amazing, we protected Robben, Douglas Costa was the MVP everything according the plan except one thing, Hummels hair, my goodness Mats, seriously?

Had it not been for Selke's poor decision making we would have conceded there with the ball played through right between Alonso's legs.

It has to be said that Alonso offers something that perhaps no other player on the roster can, or at least not at his level - still his lack of pace, his lack of movement, the fact he offers practically nothing defensively, the fact we are losing a possible extra man in the box, as he's physically not able to run (fast) enough to get on the end of balls (which Kimmich or Vidal has been able to do very well playing in the same position), and the fact he still gave easy balls away today even though we played against 10-man more or less all game - also has to be said in my opinion.

Or perhaps better asked, despite his completely obvious shortcomings, is he offering enough to warrant a place in the team, sacrificing the likes of Kimmich, who himself played some fantastic games earlier this season, offering all around more balanced performances? If it's really Alonso's skillset we are so desperately in need of, why did we sign Renato Sanchez who's clearly absolutely nothing like him and not signed someone who's perhaps slightly better in other aspects of the game while being able to fill Alonso's role (or heck, just simply not 270 years old?). Has Thiago not been able to play in this role quite efficiently, doing better defensively, leaving some more room for Vidal to also get involved in the game?

I don't mean this as criticism though, the entire team put in a great performance, and Alonso also brought one of his best games of the season. It is my personal opinion, even with today's game we could and should do better than Alonso, especially when we already have better players in the squad.

If I had to really name someone from today it would be Vidal (for his ungodly everywhere on the pitch, tackling, intercepting) and Lahm (some fantastic runs and great involvement in the game to help in midfield), but Costa, Robben, Thiago and Hummels all played well. I'm really happy for the team over all, it's good to see us step up like this for the big occasion.

Get a life... or some other club to cheer for.

Mind your own business and get off my back will you? I already supported this club when you knew nothing about this game... Wait that's contradictory, cause you still don't...

zozon wrote:Аnd #12........ It's gone

Thats how you dissappear into nothing when you post bullcrap even before the game.

You mean like you and all your bullshit tips before Rostow and Dortmund...
Alonso - luckily - had his one in ten today... As I said before he has that one still in him - which I'm sure you know, cause let's face it, you're obsessed with me!
Just like you, one in ten, and there you go running your mouth, interestingly enough I never read from you after YOU were wrong... You're just a petty man dude...

SrLuisGuilherme wrote:are you stupid by chance? read what you quoted again... did I say this was a 4-3-3?

Yes, he is

I think everyone here would have scored that one, but forget the goal, Alonso was great today... He had half a dozen awesome passes, and he looked solid, maybe partly because we were FIERCE today and Vidal and Thiago had his back, but still: if he always played like that I'd support him being a starter... Costa was awesome, so were Thiago and Vidal... But actually, it was a great team effort!
If this is the result, even though we were a little lucky the first five... then Ancelotti leaves not much to criticize...

Penalty was none for me... But the read, hope they suspend him for 5 games!

It's settled, Alonso gets the extension until 2021 + 1 year possibile extension. Der Kapitan Alonso.
Alonso had a very good game but so did everyone else. Costa is amazing still.
