That was a nice win to take. We controlled the entire game and only gave them a look at our goal once. Kimmich was really good in defense and Alonso was a dictator in midfield. Badstuber needs to work more on his "rushing" into tackles as he tends to concede dangerous free kicks for the opponents (not to mention yellow cards). On the opposite side, Lewandowski continued his goal-scoring run and the duo of Robben and Costa are almost back in early season form. All others were decent enough last night.

Kimmich pipping Lewandowski for the MOTM so far. If you haven't already voted, please do.

He probably deserves it, but Alonso's performance has been heavily undervalued so far in the ratings.

Good thing we have no rating option for Pep ;)

You know the ratings are skewed when one of our best players in the game is ranked bottom and somehow Badstuber looks good.

Well, Badstuber was not outstanding, but maybe it's you if everybody else sees it that way?! :P
JK... I just voted after your post only to see the results... :D

But Alonso was nowhere near our best yesterday IMHO...

Best five: Costa Kimmich, Coman, Lahm, Lewandowski

I do the ratings based on what I think everyone else will vote instead of what I actually think of the players to get the best voopl rating  I'm sorry that I had to mark Alonso down and Badstuber up because this forum is so predictably biased :|

You think Arjen was playing well? That vote should actually be proof I'm not biased - I adore Robben... ;)

I remember an outstanding run from Coman in the first half where he passed by the defender as if he was standing - only that he was in full speed... All I remember from Arjen is his three shots that came nowhere close to being dangerous... I still thought he was better than Alonso... :P
Alonso and Badstuber were about on par IMHO...

Robben was the most active player BY A MILE in the first half. Not as active in the second but neither was Coman....
And yeah, the 2 shots by Robben in the first half that just landed on top of the goal where nowhere close to being dangerous... :|

Well... Knowing what he CAN do and what he DID do yesterday I was a little disappointed - can we at least settle for that (and maybe have a more civilized discussion tone in the future?! :P )

(and yes, I know that he was injured a lot lately and still needs time to be back to his matchless self)

Lewandowski grabbed the goals and was efficient but Robben was clearly the best attacker out there. Müller was better today than he has been recently, but honestly the ratings he's getting are bonus points for his relationship with the fans. Just like Kimmich was great but honestly had nothing to do really and is getting brownie points for just for exceeding expectations and doing his job.

Robben was singled out for praise by Pep. Not Lewandowski or Kimmich.

Just to add to that, what made it special was probably because he was doing what Vidal was meant to do the whole bloody season.
