I'm in for it too but Kimmich doesn't possess the vertical passes and vision of Alonso and Thiago(today he was fantastic) lacks the accuracy of Alonso I mean Alonso hardly places a wrong passes. Still, I think that Alonso in an all-fit squad he will be like 4th choice midfielder.

I'm totally fine fellas, more calm than ever, I don't have nothing against @pyrasur I just don't find his logic right in this particular moment of the season under these circumenstances, I think it's too early. I think that the team is in an almost perfect position and bit by bit Ancelotti will get us to the proper level if not then we'll judge him hard just as his predecessor but not by September.

Kind reminder, every year under Guardiola we hit the gas and thrashing any opponent, every year we were the best in the world until the winterpause, we build a comfortable lead at Bundesliga and we qualified to CL being very dominant but when it mattered the most we run out of players, gas and tactics I mean it's not how you start but how you finish, I see a big room of improvement in this team, we'll get there soon.

You have a point regarding peaking early. I just want us to win our two matches against that awful side from Madrid.

Yup. Unfortunately every year for the past three years we climaxed prematurely. Felt that at our best we would have beat anyone comfortably, but at the end we were either figured out or had lost half the squad.

Well Messi's injured there's one for you.

Busquets too, but that's outside the scope of the question.

Just posted on the Spanish thread: Messi had to leave with an injury. Busquets too. Shitty is soooo lucky.

This was Bayern's oldest starting XI since February 2008 (average of 29 year old).

I'm satisfied with tonight's win. Even though we had some "boring" spells, we did manage to create enough chances and score three of them. Plus, this was our best defensive performance so far this season. They only managed one meaningful shot on goal as opposed to the many chances conceded in the previous games. We're clearly under development, and it's looking very promising.

It's interesting how independent sites and BayernForum.com ratings vary. I voted Ribery as MOTM as well, but independent websites such as the official Bundesliga website and whoscored gave the MOTM to Thiago. It seems fans (myself included) are biased towards certain players. Thiago isn't as loved as Ribery amongst the Bayern faithful.

This isn't news..some of us have been saying that for months now.

That's totally normal and a global situation in every team. Every club has some players that the fans love more than others in the recent history of Bayern that players were Basti,Ribery,Lahm & Muller. The old ones. As for Thiago it's true but with these kind of performances like against Hertha, the passion he shows off & on the pitch he will climb very fast at Muller's connection with the fans, I'm sure.

Our main objective must be that we shouldn't be extremely biased when it comes to criticism!

Well, I didn't think Thiago had a MOTM performance either. What people (specially pundits) are biased towards is results. Had Thiago not press high and score, plus an assist; he probably would not have won MOTM. To me Alonso deserved it. He stopped quite a few chances from Hertha right after turnover. MOTM for me is the player doing his best AT HIS TASK, not necessarily scoring. If that is the case, Hertha had the least possible chances and Alonso was part of many of those break ups.
Thiago was more instrumental moving as an 8/false 10 once Muller came off for Robben. I've said it before, both him and Vidal look more important on attacking roles. Yesterday, Vidal was not even considered, since he mainly occupied Alonso's advanced left side but well behind Thiago. Just say'n.

l liked Alonso's perfonmance for the first time this season. He played more vertical passes, he was more involved in building up compared to previous games. But let's not forget H.Berlin was missing Darida who could create problems for Alonso.

H.Berlin created 2 chances. The first that Alonso didn't track back,as he only walked. The second that Alonso lost the ball.He was good yet not a MOTM perfonmance.
