Bayern Munich vs Hannover 96
Bayern Munich vs Hannover 96
Competition: 1. Bundesliga
Venue: Allianz Arena, Munich

In a potentially tricky encounter, FC Bayern will need to put their Valencia match thoughts aside and concentrate on the Bundesliga again. In what is generally the other way round, die Roten will have a full two days rest over their opponents, who will play on Thursday against Twente.

Should be an interesting game, Hannover are looking good this season and have no trouble scoring goals. I am curious how Bayern's D will do since they have let in the most goals at the Allianz. I think Hannover will play more open football so there is a good chance this could be a rout.

That's what one would think at the beginning, but after causing us a lot of trouble in the recent years, we'd come to know that their offensive play isn't as open as we tend to think. They are like Gladbach of last year. They pack it up at the back and gladly hand us the lion's share of possession. They then keep waiting for the right mess-up and suddenly half their squad is on the counter against 2-3 of our players. We usually tend to send the majority of our players forward when we are under pressure to score, and this makes us very vulnerable to counters (just like what happened in Nurnberg right after we conceded the equalizer). That's what their game plan is built around. However, JH impresses me when it comes to fixing old-times mistakes, so I'm sure he's got something planned for them.

If we manage to take an early lead, then this might turn out to be an open game, and hence a rout as you said ;) Otherwise, we'll have to settle for a tactical battle in order to break them up without risking having the majority of our players forward up the pitch.

True but Gladbach had a beast called Reus and he could carve through any defence in Europe. Im well aware of the threat Hannover posts but i think Bayern Munich are too strong at the moment especially at home.

I remember the last time we lost to Hannover was about counter attacks. Jupp Heyneckes should have solved the problem last match and hopefully we won't play Rafinha and Tymo again, we won't give them chances on the break.

This shouldn't be a tough game in Allianz Arena.

If this game was played in AWD Arena it could have been a very different story. We have a tough game in Valencia but they will play 48 hours later a tough home game against Twente

Hannover is a quality team this year, but I'm still thinking we should come out with a win here. As long as we can put Champions League thoughts out of our head, we should do fine considering it's at the Allianz Arena. With Ribery and Gomez back we should be able to forget about how our last Bundesliga match went and get all 3 points at home. Only thing that could cause us any problems is if someone get injuries in the Valencia match, but as long as that doesn't happen we should be fine.

Some of the most exciting matches this season has involved hannover and if the trend goes on then we might see goals galore.

True dat! Hannover games this season have had high score lines so hopefully Bayern will he able to get out of their funky form and regain their winning ways with a lot of goals to boot vs Hannover :D

Curious to see how we line up for this one. Alaba, Schweini, Kroos and Muller all need a rest.

Not sure if they'll get it, though. With Badstuber, Gustavo and Robben all out, we could stumble on excessive rotation like in Nürnberg again. Besides, Hannover is a really damn strong team.

True but Hannover are no pushovers, hopefully Ribery can gain some of his fitness cause he was sloppy in the Valencia game, Shaqiri should get the start, and maybe a two striker system should be used if Jupp plans on resting Kroos and Muller :D

Badstuber just played vs Valencia how is he out, unless he was ruled out recently?
