At times they had 3 players on both wingers. Then Pep made a good move to change
personal on the wings...and that might has confused them.
To be honest the first goal was somewhat lucky.

No, indeed. I wouldn't expect much else from teams like Koeln playing away to Bayern - not in the aftermath of Bayern's record season start, which produced ten wins from ten games. My point was more about us, as fans, needing to factor that into our assessments of Bayern's performances. Against repeated park-the-bus opponents, we will see many laboured starts to Bayern's games, tight, scrappy performances and good players frustrated or looking less effective. An unexciting 1-0 win in such games will often be as good as it gets, and a 4-0 win is something of an achievement.

It will be hard to score against a Koln/Arsenal type of formation. The two banks of four or a five/four parked bus makes it impossible to go inside and the backtracking DM covering the crosses between the full back and the first post CB is killing whatever balls Costa and Coman (or Robben's wood leg) manage to get across.

Koeln and Arsenal have a different striking force, there's a difference...

He wasn't having success with blowing by people with his dribbling on the wings and, as I saw it, his move to the center was really productive while we had Coman at LW and Robben at RW. His technical skills were very useful in a midfield without Thiago or Alonso; he had 98 touches the ball, more than he's had in any game so far.

Could be or maybe we have to see more ...
However his position should be on the wings... No time for experiments dear Pep this isn't pre season

I agree that he's best out wide, but it's nice to know that he can change positions if he's ineffective at LW (or god forbid in the event of another injury.)

Köln actually created a few counters, but their uselessness on the ball meant they wasted the few chances they got. Not something we can expect from bigger sides.

We were "lucky" (it was well deserved, therefore the "") to score "early" - there were few opportunities before but yes, the game was way better than expected... That opened the game for us and broke morale, especially with the second one before halftime... Coman was motm IMHO... Hey at least I had the winner right :P :D

There's good execution of possession, we are very good in switching sides and wearing out opposition... But we are too vulnerable to counterattacking still...
