We were geniunely outplayed in the first half, Ingolstadt had a good gameplan and pressed us high and aggressively. In the second half we were in control instantly, as their energy levels dropped and the gap between their midfield and defense got bigger. Ingolstadt was ambitious for the entire game, though, and deserve a lot of credit for giving us the most uncomfortable half of football we've been subjected to this season.

4 shots on goal. You are blatantly lying. Knock it off.

Now, I personally didn't watch but since he's talking shit might as well ignore him. It did end 2-0 did it not?
Jesus saves, but Kahn does it better ;)

How would you know, without even watching?

Again: stats were showing 2-5 shots at halftime... And we know what counts for a shot these days... The only thing from first half shown in the summaries is that Lewandowski attempt - and that's what I saw...
At the end of the game we actually were slightly ahead with prime opportunities... But at half time what I said about shots was perfectly true...

I blame the Charity. It clearly distracted the players not seeing the T -- Com logo on the shirts. :P Seriously, I think that Bayern are so used to teams just sitting back just in front of their penalty area that they find it very difficult when they face an opponent who presses so much (much more than Dortmund) high up the field. Their energy was incredible in the first half. We just couldn't get out of our own half and had to resort to long balls which were neutralized for the most part.

When a Bayern player received the ball, their were 3 of their own, one closing the player and the other two closing the spaces, sometimes even preventing him from making a back pass. It wasn't the first time in the first half where Lahm and Rafinha had to do a 180 turn near the sidelines and pass the ball forwards hoping it will reach a player. Lahm had to do his signature turn quite a few times.

Obviously then they tired themselves out in the second half. But you have to congratulate Ingolsdat. At least we didn't see the same thing we always see, a whole team defending for the whole match.

Ingolstadt is a rare breed while being the same old same old. I don't think that there has been a more strepitous climb to the first flight since Castro while at the same time this isn't the first second division team to run their hearts out pre-hirrunde only to find themselves soulless post January. Terrific first half but God damn the way they left a Robbenesque Lahm alone on the right flank after that post it note scene was daunting.

Throughout the season, Romain Brégerie, a Ingolstadt defender from France, recounts his experience of the Bundesliga from the inside, today, he gave l'Equipe his feelings about Bayern's match. (in french obviously)

For an hour it worked. Then when Guardiola has changed its composition, everything became more complicated for us

I bothered to paste this sentence translated.

Learning from Schubert... :P
And some that were presumably aware of Ingolstadt's strong defense, why did they predict a 4-0 win... hypocrisy...

Interesting how both 'Gladbach and Frankfurt, our 2 most difficult opponents in the Hinrunde, have both folded so pathetically to Leverkusen and BvB respectively. Can there be any observations from this with regards to Bayern, or is it just that "Der Ball ist rund und das Spiel dauert 90 Minuten." ?
In...Müller, Lewadowski, Robben, Boateng, Badstuber, Ribery,Lahm, Costa, Kimmich, Coman, Thiago, Götze,Rode, NEUER,Alaba, MARTINEZ....do I TRUST!!

I did, for example. I figured they're due for a meltdown. Boy was I wrong.
