He refereed us in:

[2011-09-18] FC Schalke 04 0-2 Bayern München
[2011-10-29] Bayern München 4-0 1. FC Nürnberg
[2011-12-03] Bayern München 4-1 Werder Bremen

So far this season, Augsburg is a nice surprise. Its players play a fearless brand of football and we saw it in the first match against them. This makes it a tricky encounter for Bayern.

Muller will be available right? I'm not sure whether he was subbed off that early because of injury against Marseille.

Schweini must start this game. Personally, I'm torn about who his partner should be. Part of me wants to give Kroos a rest, the other part wants to give as many games as possible to Kroos-Schweini duo. If Tymo starts I hope Kroos-Schweini gets at least 30 minutes.

I also hope Boateng gets a well-needed rest but it's hard to replace him, especially with Gustavo unavailable.

If he was injured and at risk of missing this match, there would have been talk about it. Thankfully there hasn't been, so we can assume that he is training normally.

The formations above seem to agree on all but one position: who should partner Schweinsteiger.

Spox predicts Tymoshchuk. Bundesliga.de and Kicker predict Kroos.

Interestingly, Toni Kroos and Franck Ribery have four yellow cards. If they receive a yellow card in this match, they will miss the all-important Dortmund clash through an automatic one-match suspension.

How about a Contento/Rafinha fullback pairing? That way Alaba and Lahm can be fresh for Dortmund.

And what if we end up the next name on the list of teams that played Augsburg and did not go home with 3 points in the bag? They haven't lost since 18th February...

One of them, I'm OK with. Both of them, that's a bit risky IMO.

This is why I wanted Ribery rested... didn't know Kroos is in danger too.

I expect Pranjić instead Ribery and maybe Contento in front of Alaba. Ribery must be rested and out of risk of getting yellow card against Augsburg.

Ribery and Kroos should be benched then - we need them for Dortmund. Can always sub one of them on if the match isn't going well.

Ideally i'd like to see Schweinie and Rafinha start. Both players for the same reason - they need match practise. Wasn't Rafinha out like all last month? (the fact Bayern have been on 2 games a week recently makes time feel like much longer has passed so it feels like it's been a really long time since Rafinha got ill.)

Rafinha as RW and Robben replaces Ribery as LW. Maybe Contento instead of Alaba but not necessary. Contento + Robben could be an interesting combination.

That's a fair point. We must guard against complacency. But I do expect changes again for this match with Contento in for Alaba and maybe Schweini getting a start now. I'd even say Olic, but we sort of need to keep Gomez playing to keep him on his "hot streak"!

Hot streak ? [-X i'd rather say hot misses #-o !when did he last score a "deserved " goal ? he rarely shows the skills he used to have when he was with stutgart !! i 'd be glad to see him showing some against Real madrid .Otherwise, we should get rid of him no matter how much we paid for him !!
