set pieces... the magical word... We concede and fail to score in such situations... why? We've been like this since the Klinsmann era.
I don't really remember what was like under Hitzfeld but I don't think we were this horrible.

Us conceding from set pieces is part of the Mia San Mia package. What I meant is us scoring from these situations, I am sure that in recent history we were not this bad when it comes to wasting chances from corners. I also hope that they brush up the freekicks from outside the box and see a couple of those Alaba goals before his last injury again.

Nah, corners haven't been our strong suit for years now... That started with van Gaal I think... We had like 27-1 corners in the 2012 CL-Fianal... So this is not (just) Guardiola... I DO however hope he devotes one or two sessions to them... Corners are alwayws a way to bring down a solid defense...

  Yes of course...

But scoring from corners was not that rare in that era, right?

But Boateng's in-between-the-lines-passes? Dude's destroying every football tactics book from the nineteen century till this morning.

I always believed that this is a great unused siege weapon that we have been missing against this kind of opposition - I cannot understand how/why the people that count cannot see this as well !! I see the players more worried that they give up possession when they shoot the corner than making the best from that opportunity....and when they pass the corner kick to the player next to them when the box is already full with some 9 opposition players so the ball ends up back at our defence in no time, it just kills me....we might as well give up giving the corner.

It's so great seeing him skip the entire midfield and pick out Lewy and Müller up front, especially since Lewy will turn and charge. It increases our tempo so much when we slow down

Yup... And it's not like we don't have any players that are good at taking headers: Boateng, Benatia, Lewa, Müller(, Vidal)...

Any ideas on why we were THIS bad? We never struggled too hard with the international breaks (recently), also, Augsburg really sucked so far...

Both penalty decisions were correct, so what exactly is your point? :D

The point ramsej missed is our ref awarded one wrong pen. In your case, Felipe caused two pens in your favour. If that wasn't enough, he scored an own goal. Dam Bayern Dusel is so overhyped.

You could see lots of potential in his play. Almost everytime he set out for a 1v1 he succeeded. Played a few very dangerous crosses that unfortunately were not met in the box any of our guys. I'd give 6 or 7 out of 10 for his debut. He's definitely got a lot of pace and trickery on him. I believe once he has the confidence and is fully integrated into munich he'll be something special.

Keep in mind that Douglas Costa just turned 25. Coman is still 19. He needs a lot more time.
