[2006-10-28] Bayern Munich vs Eintracht Frankfurt [V]

Postby tracylynn » Fri Oct 27, 2006 8:01 pm

This is a crucial game for Bayern because:

1) They need to restore their confidence
2) They can't fall too far behind Werder or they're really gonna have a hard time catching back up.
3) They need to get back on track and win games.

I'm gonna be an optimist here and say Bayern will pull out a victory.

I voted draw, mostly because Frankfurt are still unbeaten this season, but I doubt Bayern will lose because they're so desperate to win.
Fingers crossed though, we really can't afford to lose this game. Bremen's goal difference is spiralling outta control lol.

When I typed up this thread, I did not know about Lukas being out. If I would have known about his injury I probably would've voted for a draw. But being the optimist that I am, I'm still gonna say that they're going to win because they're gonna do it for the fans and for their fellow teammates who are injured.

I doubt podolski's injury will cause too much concern... I'm going for 2-0 bayern, goals from Schweini and Pizzaro... if that comes off, i'll be delighted

Yay! Bayern's morale should be boosted way up there now. Considering they've beated a formerly undefeated side. Van Bommel is a big part of the team, already he's scored 3 goals.

Maierhofer... substitute now since Podolski's out injured for three weeks.

I haven't heard of this Maierhofer guy before :( What's he like?
I'm really missing Podolski already lol. Well 2 goals is good. We kept a clean sheet. I hope we play a lot better midweek against Sporting though.
