Injury crisis. A depleted FC Bayern faces Eintracht Braunschweig on Saturday, but thanks to their lack of skills, this should be an easy peasy fixture. More: Bayern – Braunschweig preview, the injured and the unrewarded

Guardiola's lineups are rarely more than, say, 80-90% predictable. There are always a few players and positions that can't be predicted with any great level of conviction.

In general, however, I'd say that his approach is predictable: he'll start with a very strong XI and offer playing time to some fringe players and young players when the game is already won, maybe after 65-70 min.

Unless Braunschweig play a fantastic game, keeping the score very close until the end, Guardiola will almost certainly give time to those players, and use the three substitutions during tomorrow's game. I'd like to see Kirchhof and Hojbjerg, in particular, getting some competitive-match practice in this one.

I've read several of your recent articles and I've found that, like this one, they usually have interesting nuggets of information and some good points.

If it doesn't cause offence, could I also mention something about the writing style? I find that the articles generally start off written in the third person, and then move around in various forms of the first person: "we", "I", etc. Sometimes they even have instances of "you", admittedly without actually forming the second person. Since your site and the content of the articles look quite sophisticated and professional, I'd recomment writing entirely in the third person. It is the more authoritative form, and your articles are good enough to be written in that tone and form. Just my tuppenceworth...

Even if it is a weak BuLi team its still a league game that Bayern has to win so i dont expect those two to get much playing time

Looks like Mandzu and Contento are fit too

Agreed. I meant my post to convey that they are the players I'd like to see coming on as substitutes.

It will be one of those 11 men behind the ball, whole Bayern team in the opponent's half game, trying to penetrate that wall of players while risking a counter-attack. It will either be a close game or the floodgates will open with an early goal or a resurgent second half.

Looking at their defensive record, I expect that it would take a very heroic effort from them in order not to crack under the pressure.

So, should we expect Manuel Neuer as captain in Lahm and Schweini's absence?

Yes, ofcourse.

Pretty sure it'll be Robben if he is starting.

Possibly Robben, but probably Neuer. Unless Van Buyten starts.

Idk the hierarchy after Schweinstiger but i think Neuer will get the armband, tbh i think midfielders, defenders, or goalkeepers should wear the armband. I never like it when forwards where it, just one of those unexplainable things :P

Fun Fact:
A Bayern Munich player in the current squad has never scored against Braunshweig in a Bundesliga fixture  [source]
