[2011-02-26] Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund

Postby MUTU » Thu Feb 24, 2011 1:02 pm

This Saturday, 26th February at 6.30pm CET (German time), Bayern will meet the Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund. A lot of trash-talk has been going on between these two teams:

Nerlinger twice claimed that Bayern are better than Dortmund

Dortmund midfielder Grosskreutz said "Now we're going to beat Munich - Bayern are ripe. We're playing the coolest football, and we're going to show why we're number one. 10,000 fans are coming along to Munich, and they're going to make it a home match for us. There's never all that much going on in Munich anyway."

To which Nerlinger replied that Grosskreutz should watch the Champions League match on his sofa at home to get a good idea of the atmosphere.

Dortmund goalkeeper Wiedenfeller is doubtful for this match, which would leave the place to 22-year old Australian goalkeeper Mitchell Langerak, who has yet to play for Dortmund (he only played 1 match for their reserve team).

Pranjic is also doubtful for this match, but LvG has plenty of options in Contento, Badstuber and Luiz Gustavo.

Bayern have defeated Dortmund in Munich in all except one matches since 09/11/2002, drawing 3-3 on 13/05/2006 and winning the other 7 matches.

Nerlinger's comeback still cracks me up, what does he actually DO in the club aside from making jokes about other players mommas. :P

Oh the match, right! Demolition. That's the only acceptable outcome. If Dotrmund are not run into the ground, the rest of the Bundesliga season can be kissed goodbye and it'll be a mere sideshow to the CL anyway.

It's going to be very hard. Dortmund will make it difficult for us and don't forget, they haven't played midweek. We should be able to win but it will be a close encounter.

It will be hard by I think we are better now
I see the major strenght of Dortmund lie in their defence , but if we played with the superb rythm as we did against Hoffenheim we will win and let their kids wash their as$

I respect Borussia and what they've achieved with their team this year and in their history, but it anoys me to hear such coments from some **** who only played 1 good season and had 1 good year with his team. It's Bayern Munchen you talk about you mofo, not **** Hoffenheim or Mainz!

With the injury of Pranijc , Will Van Gaal introduce new face to the starting line up ( Kroos as CM and Gustavo as LB , Or Contento as LB for example ?) or will he rely on the team that ended the match against Inter with Batsuber as LB ?
Well I will hate to see Van Gaal relying on Batsuber as LB
ok it worked well against Inter as Inter was playin with very narrow formation and only the full back(Maicon,Chivu) the only player on the wing , But against other teams that open the width of the pitch as Dortmund or most of the teams It won't be good , Badstuber sucks as LB both in defence and in attack and that was crystal clear last year and I don't want to see him there again

Agree. The formation used was like an anti-christmas tree formation, opted against narrow formations.

I hope to see Breno. Gustavo LB, Breno CB, Tymo CDM.

But then after yesterday it doesn't seem logical to move Gustavo.

In a press conference, Klopp said: "Roman is better in terms of the pain. We will leave the decision open until the last moment. If permitted by the injury, he will play."

In the meantime, no news regarding Pranjic has been made public.

I really hope Conteno makes his return over here. It's obvious that Gustavo works far better in CDM, so it's probably best to leave him and Kroos fighting over that spot, while the LB one is filled by Contento.

And then I read on this forum that some of you guys like Dortmund, you 'support' them. These guys are having their best lifetime season. Next they'll be fighting for relegation, as Bremen. They're all so arrogant, from Grosskreutz to Klopp. I hate them, as they hate us and I wanna trash them 4-0 to put things back in order.
IMO, if we win this match, we'll get Bundesliga.
