Can't see tweet? Click here!

Marcel Schmelzer did not travel with the team to Munich, nor did he participate in Friday’s final training – it looks as he will miss the clash against Bayern.

Yet, there has been no official confirmation of Schmelzer not being fit for the match. The left-back might have been hindered by urgent reasons to miss the final training and might arrive in Munich on Sunday.

Let's go.

Why put Lahm on the wing/false RB? I think he will play Coman and shred their wingbacks to pieces... Also Gotze should play from the start, don't know in whose place though.

Yes very few players bring what lahm brings near the side line, at any part of it, while defending but specially at creating chances of goal. :coffee:

I think Pep will be really tempted to play Coman again.... I wouldnt be shocked to see Gotze on the bench and Pep playing a weird formation on paper like

Costa - Lewandowski - Muller - Coman

Thiago - Vidal

Alonso

Alaba - Boateng - Lahm

it's only a formation on paper.... you can view that/line it up any way you want 4-3-3, 3-5-2, 4-2-3-1.... it doesnt matter.... the formations are fluid throughout the match and you know Lahm would be going up and down the right flank frequently with Muller drifting in, especially if Coman isnt in the lineup

So then it's the position we don't need? :P

Sorry, but the last good situation I remember of Lahm on offense was assisting Mario Gomez (the mention of this name should let the mind boggle) for the 2-1 against Real Madrid...
Just don't know why we should sacrifice punch on offense when they will fiercly defend and we won't get many opportunities anyway...

We had Lahm at right wing during the 6-1 against Porto.

Would actually work better IMHO, yes ;)

And Porto is not Dortmund...

I'd prefer at least Götze instead of Martinez - I think our right wing is too idle with Müller - and also, his talent is wasted there...
