Bayern Munich vs Bayer 04 Leverkusen

Bayern Munich vs Bayer 04 Leverkusen
Competition: 1. Bundesliga
Venue: Allianz Arena, Munich

Bayern against Bayer is always an attractive clash, but history heavily favours the home team: Leverkusen have been unable to beat FC Bayern in Munich since 21st October 1989, i.e. 23 years ago.

However, Bayern Munich will be hoping to avenge the loss they suffered in the last encounter against Leverkusen at the BayArena stadium, where Kießling and Bellarabi had given Leverkusen a convincing 2-0 victory.

To note that by the time this match is played, Germany would no longer be in Summer Time (DST). For all those who do not have summer time or else their changeover dates are different to Central Europe's, take note. Of course, our match counter, fixtures page and "est. local time" will auto-update accordingly.

We're on a high note right now, having been breaking records and all, so I don't think there's any doubt that we might slack a bit in this game.

Yeah, I think we'll have a powerful performance at home to extend our record streak. Hopefully, not too many casualties or tired legs from the Lille game.

If its Bayer Leverkusen no doubt the team will take this team seriously, especially at home!

I just hope we don't get complacent for this game! We need to stay focused after the Lille game, let's not let omens blind us! Let's kick on (literally :P).
Jesus saves, but Kahn does it better ;)

We must win every match at home this season. That's a real path to brake records in Bundesliga. In 17 home matches, we must win at least 14-15, a the rest should be draw if we can't win all. 8)

God bless Bayern. [-o<

The record is 16 wins and a draw, so there's only one way to break that.

Unbeaten Run

Postby tflags » Mon Oct 22, 2012 9:02 pm

I did a small table to see how feasible it was to continue on an unbeaten run and took into consideration our next matches and our opponent's Home/Away records. Our probability of wining is just the number of home or away games the other team have actually won so far depending on where the game will be played.

According to these numbers merely, our winning run is most endangered with Frankfurt on the Allianz. It is far from conclusive, but interesting nonetheless.

Jupp needs to start Shaqiri, Pizarro and Alaba for this game! Whats the point of having good players if you dont play them!!

As long as Bayern win, I couldn't care less who plays for FC Bayern.
Hoeness could play in goal and as long as we won the game I wouldn't care how silly he was in goals.

You have to keep the players happy and what if they are needed but haven't played in a long time ? They would struggle and Bayern would struggle as well. I would like to see this.

Then Tymo replaces Schweini or Kroos, Rafinha for Meuller and Shaqiri for Ribery in the second half if leading. Although I would like to see Martinez play more home games for now than away games.

Our defensive record is great this season...and I believe it has to do something with Badstuber playing LB....he does not offer much in attack but when you have 3 CBs and Neuer in goal..than you really are rock solid at the back.

Btw..Lahm is playing much more offensive when Badstuber is LB as Boateng moves a little bit right to cover the space if we lose possession.

I agree with Mackoys formation
Starin` at the world through my rearview
