Hope so! Even with Ribéry IMHO it's too early to start... Maybe half an hour for Götze and one half for Ribéry...

As for the game: Mainz is a tough opponent and we should take an early lead to ease the game... If they get the lead it will be a lot of work and since there's a big game coming up it'd be good to save a little energy...

I didn't say that. :coffee:

I think Ribéry could go 60 minutes by now. As for Götze he's in training for quite some time now (longer than Ribéry even) so I think he could go 60 or so too. But It's probably better to go slowly on them, as it is not needed to rush things.

Obviously I'm no expert, but for me Ribéry should remain a super sub until he shows that he can stay fit for an extended period of time for three reasons.
1. He has been brilliant in that role so far and his quality against tired defenses in the 2nd halves of games is especially deadly.
2. Costa and Coman, despite some inconsistencies, are more than capable of starting without a significant loss of quality.
3. If (may God forbid) Ribs would go down again, it wouldn't upset the rhythm of the starting XI.

Agreed more or less... Still I think Coman doesn't yet match Ribéry's abilities... And as for Costa: am I the only one who has the feeling he's not quite in his Hinrunde form? I mean, he'S still decent or good, if you will, but he's not that stunningly outstanding anymore, is he?!

Both are pretty much consensus opinions. No one expects a 19yo to match our French legend and well... Costa has obviously not been the same since the winter break.

Let's hope it's just a temporary lapse in form...

What I forgot about Mainz: they're actually in good form and have had good games in Munich... We should not take them lightly, but I don't think we will...

IMO Costa is best on the right wing. But he looks a bit fatigued and now teams are double and triple mark him since they know what he is capable of.

I want to see again that perfect cross to Mueller against Hamburg I think with the outside of his left boot.

Really hoping for an offensive explosion soon. Not sure if today's the day for it, though. My main hope for this game is Götze and Benatia getting some good minutes. We need both of them for Juve and (hopefully) beyond.

I don't think its a form loss, in my opinion, the defenders started to consider Costa one of the most dangerous players of Bayern, and they take their precautions and now the right defenders are always doubled by a middle field player or a central defender.
Maybe he didn't scores lately but he always sent 3-4 crosses every match that could be easily transformed into a goal.
In the next seasons he will be our hero same as Robben and Ribbery( Costa is very lucky to play with him he can learn tons from the french winger ) and to be honest I don't see a left winger that could match his qualities and have much impact on the games at the moment.

Ortlepp says they didn't see Lahm and Alonso at the team hotel so they might not feature today.
