Don't praise Guardiola cause his line up in the first half sucked balls. Once he put Lahm in his proper spot and Bayern started to play more out wide Mainz had problems defending them. It always looks like Bayern try to play Barca style but end up abandoning Pep's crappy style and end up going back to what they know. If this was last year the game would of been over in the first 30 minutes but instead you have to suffer thru Pep trying to instill a style of play Bayern Munich doesn't need to play.

You are right, although it should be after 45 minutes not 30. Jupp's Bayern was so good that we almost never went behind. But if we did, we likewise almost never turned it around and end up winning by a 3 goal margin.

It is beyond me how you can criticise Pep after a win that is mostly down to him and Gotze. Replacing Dante with Alaba rather than Kirchhoff or Van Buyten was a huge risk which most other coaches wouldn't have taken, considering the last time Contento played CB was in a friendly 3 or 4 years ago (LVG was coach). Pep even went ahead and brought on Gotze soon later, "weakening" the midfield defensively by moving Lahm back to RB. It was a risk which could have led to Mainz scoring more, but we all know what happened.

And if this was two years ago, you would have seen Bayern losing to or drawing Mainz. Furthermore, last season in the same stadium, Bayern won 3-1. This time they won 4-1.

Your argument makes no sense. If you only want to bash Guardiola, I'm sure you can at least make a coherent, rational and valid argument. This isn't one of them.

You're very, very wrong. :pep:

I don't know, considering that amount of players on WC qualification week, I think the team did quite well. I mean, I don't recall many other teams scoring that many goals this weekend.

In Bundes there are none but in EPL, Arsenal and Chelsea as well as City. While PSG scored 4-0 2 goals for Ibra and Cavani. But for teams that has a lot of internationals in their team like Barca, we did better.

What we really got in this game is Pep knows how to adjust his tactics mid-game which makes us breathe a little better.

I'm not bashing Pep Guardiola but you can't praise someone for fixing the mistakes he made in the first half. Maybe after this game Lahm will play in his proper position.

You can. He learned from his mistakes.

When the score of Bayern match appeared at half time the stadium went crazy happy, me included. :D But I actually knew Bayern were going to win at the end, it always ends that way. If Mainz scored that first goal in like 60~ minutes then maybe it would have been different.

Same happened for Schalke at two occasions when they were losing to Braunschweig 0-1 and then 1-2. :P

Kevin, I've eventually started to admire your posts. You are the longest surviving troll I've ever seen on a football forum. I don't know quite how you achieve it , but have a "Well done!" from me anyway.

His simplistic lame comments are sadly written on more than one forum. It's people like that that make me think that internet should be a privilege & not given to any moron who has enough money to afford it.

I'm afraid I haven't had the pleasure of knowing those posters. I've been a member for a year or so, but only active in the past few months.
