It was interesting to see how much impact did Götze have in this game even though he still lacks most of his pace

I think it was greatly about the changes Pep made at half time, and that was not just Götze. It was amazing to see us turn this match around like this anyway.

An amazing showing by Gotze. Two (and a half) assists directly after he was introduced. He seems to have built up the required chemistry with the team. The second half was amazing all in all with Robben keeping his great form. The only downside was Mandzukic showing discontent for being subbed and Robben being angry for not taking the PK.

Anyone ever saw 4 fullbacks on the pitch at the same time? :?

We throw the 1st half at the recycle bin.
The 2nd half especially the first 10' was a really good explosion, they dominated,Pep once again! with his subs and system change/positions gave a massive(!) boost to the players and he has as much credit for this win as much as Gotze who was our game changer and MVP.He still needs time but he seems in the right way, very promising performance from Gotze.

It wasnt a great game but it was a good one, it seems like the international break made things tough for most of the players causing the slow start but here are a couple things i noticed:
Cons: Like I said before Bayern were slow of the gates in the first half, the passing was very sloppy and they hardly created any chances. Also Contento sucked balls imo. He cut off the supply from the left side since he is too timid to make a run forward like Alaba. Sadly Boateng had to make that one mistake which cost Bayern the early goal.

Pros:I have to take my hat off to Pep Guardiola, his tactical change was very much needed and worked flawlessly! He moved Contento to play as a CB and brought Alaba back at LB, and Lahm to RB which gave new life to Bayern Munich in the second half. Gotze was amazing too, he looked like his old self by causing chaos to Mainz's defenders and was able to bag himself two assists. Hopefully this was just Bayern shaking off some rust after the long international break, and has anyone heard of Dante's situation i didnt think the injury was that bad?

To be honest Contento wasnt much of a fullback today, smart move by Pep moving him to CB and Alaba as a LB.....

Great 2nd half and good result coming off the international break. Missed the 1st half ( obviously watched the MUCH better half :P ) and was quite surprised to see Contento at CB and no Ribery. I hope his and Dante's injuries aren't serious. Pep's changes work wonderfully again (except Kirchoff who wasn't very good but the match was decided at that point).
Reggie Jackson (of the 1977 NY Yankees) when asked, "What's the biggest thing you've noticed (about the team) since being injured?" " The magnitude of ME!"

Are you implying that we want to see that half at some point in the future?
BURN IT!
It was very ballsy of Guardiola to play Contento as a center back, but it kind of paid off (aside from their scoring chance fest at around sixty minutes). I'm elated that Gotze has somewhat found form, he linked really well with Robben. It's a shame that Dante will miss the Plzen game, meaning we might have to play Van Buyten and Contento at the back.

However the (Mandzu & Robben's) reactions can be interpreted as they are so keen to do their best for FC Bayern.

Anyone know where I can watch a replay of the match? I'm in Seattle, WA USA and having some difficulties.
