Why didnt Götze pass the ball to Görtler????!!!!! Can anyone please give me a decent explanation?

I'd say it is the same - the pressure which is on him and he is not able to cope with that. When he is finally in some good looking action, he mostly takes it on himself leading to a loss of ball or a bad shot.
---
Today I think Götze had a decent game, he was trying, he got some chances and showed some good movements and skills. At least something after the absolutely invisible matches

I was hoping for Martínez to start against Barca but although he was very strong in air, he also made some unlogical holdings of opponents which actually led to the awesome freekick. It was obvious he is playing after some while because there were also some bad tackles, he needs more games.

The youngs tried hard, they were having some "top player" moments but also a "youth player" moments so all in one it wasn't bad at all but still average.

I am happy a few of the important players were resting. Some (like Lahm) weren't afraid to rest during the game although they were on the pitch so hopefully the best squad will try to surprise us.
I am scared of Barca but still hoping for the best attitude by our team.

I don't understand how some people can still defend Götze - saying that he's young is not an excuse anymore, because there are tons of players his age who are putting him to shame. I will give it to him that he played slightly better in the middle today, but if that's the best he can do, he'll be replaced the second there's someone fit.

Can't drew too many parallels considering the lineup, I think most of us were expecting a loss and I don't think it'll affect morale too much.

We should be very worried about Gotze's misses though. You guys still want to play with counters vs Barca? We need to take advantage of our breakthroughs if we're planning on depending on counterattacking. But I'm convinced Pep won't do that.

Hopefully these two games will make Barca underestimate us. Like I said in the other thread, I think that apart from the front three we are still superior in GK, defence and midfield even with our injuries. Our players need to actually show up to play though. Sammer needs to act in the coming days.

I wouldn't except a good few players that'll play against Barca were on the pitch at some point:
Neuer, Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Rafinha (possibly), Benatia, Thiago
Bayern played VERY poorly and they're going up against Barca, who just won 8-0.

Bayern didnt play to win in the first place

Bayerns aim was to rest players , give Martinez some playing time and avoid Injuries , And we succeeded in That

Yes, it was a horrible game indeed. But circumstances make a difference, I'm confident they'll turn up vs Barca. Whether or not that'll be enough...

I also though Neuer wasn't as good as usual. A bit too timid maybe?

They can suck it. They will probably embarrass the league in CL anyways. :coffee:

I ddin't think it was a horrible game. We played well considering the line-up and had a few chances to score which we wasted. I think a draw would have been fair. Yes I think Neuer was a bit at fault in the second goal.

No injuries - check
Rested players - check
Martinez getting gametime - check

Considering the line-up and the opponent we did well today, Leverkusen are fighting desperately to avoid the 4th place play-off. All we wanted was to play a decent game and do the above points.

I agree - not a pleasant thought.

Wolfsburg embarassed the league in the Europa League this season, so I don't have high hopes for the CL.
To be honest Leverkusen did well and were very close to getting to the quarters and Schalke went out valiantly- overall German teams did Ok this year.
I expect EVERY team other than Bayern to embarass the league every year.
Gladbach have been terrible every other year they've made it, we'll see how they fare.
