Red Bull will struggle with CL fixtures.

As long as Bayern win I don't care about the rest.

Anyone care to make a prediction on final league standings? I don't know if we did it already in another thread when I wasn't looking. Also, while the Bayern finishing top might be the standard, I'm interested in how everyone thinks the rest of the league will play out. Also, I'm gonna have to get used to seeing some old hands playing for new teams.. Paul Verhaegh at Wolfsburg? Anyway:

1) Bayern München
2) Borussia Dortmund
3) RB Leipzig
4) Schalke 04
5) Gladbach
6) Hertha BSC
7) Hoffenheim
8) VfL Wolfsburg
9) Eintracht Frankfurt
10) Bayer Leverkusen
11) 1. FC Köln
12) Mainz 05
13) VfB Stuttgart
14) SC Freiburg
16) Hamburger SV
17) Hannover 96
18) Werder Bremen

Dortmund and us will be in the top 2. Not sure who'll win, depends a bit on Ancelotti.

Can't see tweet? Click here!
Here is how goalimpact has the Bundesliga just based on player quality.

Despite some transfers, not much different than it was on July 20th:

Curious has well this holds up, although they it does match what we already know about the Bundesliga being notoriously hard to predict outside the top 2.

Interesting that Ancelotti didn't say whether or not we'll win the Bundesliga without taking our hands from inside our pockets this time

I'm actually expecting Dortmund to have a down year. IMO they've already lost more than they've added - Toprak is wildly overrated and probably will be third choice CB at best; right now I wouldn't even be surprised if new free signing Zagadou were ahead. He has certainly been more impressive in preseason. i don't really rate Dahoud so highly as well. If Dembele goes, they're really down. And of course they've lost Bender and Ginter and it looks like Durm is gone, with Mor seemingly having one foot out the door as well (though I think Mor is one of the worst players I've ever seen, so I don't count that as much of a loss). Additionally, I don't think Bosz is a very good fit at all for them and they're starting out the season very banged up already - Schürrle and Weigl out for another month, Guerreiro out until at least mid-October, and Reus won't be back until 2018 at best - so I expect them to have a hard time finding rhythm, and when they do I think it may very well be too late.

All that to say that I think RBL will be our chief competitor this season and I wouldn't be surprised if they went and won the thing.

I'd be surprised if RB managed to cope well with BL and CL. I feel they will struggle in the first half of the season, but will be in the Top 3 in the end.

Worst case scenario they embarrass BL in Europe and win the league  [-X

Schalke 1-0 RB Leipzig (Half Time)

Leipzig is playing poorly, especially their CB Upamecano. This is the first time that I see him, but he looks terrible all the time. Nothing special from Keita either, who's lost possession many times already

I had to stop watching the game like ten mins ago.
S04 seems to have improved.
Who is this Tedesco?

I watched the first few minutes and Leipzig seemed better. Good if they lose

That CB committed like a thousand fouls one of which was a penalty and got no booking!

Upamecano is 18. Of course he has a lot to learn.

I actually saw a lot of positives for RBL in that game. It's clear where they want to go; further develop their game, adding more ball possession elements. You could see that even in the Rückrunde last season. What's lacking is penetrating power in the final third. Werner and Forsberg not being fully fit was a factor. And Keita isn't suited for the left 10.

Schalke's coach Tedesco even said in the post match presser that it wasn't the plan for Schalke to play like this. The intention was to press much higher, but he said his players always came late, RB kept finding spaces and hence they had to retreat. He said the only reason they won was fighting spirit and passion.
