The problem is that focus is not enough but we need a lot and a lot of lady luck.

Nah, I won't go so far as to say they will win. If we aren't too unlucky with injuries I predict (or rather, hope) that we will win the Bundesliga and the CL but not the Pokal.

I don't see that coming at all. I expect the transition to take time and I wouldn't be surprised if they have a rather rough start, dropping quite a few points against smaller teams.

A great analysis of Leverkusen. With regard to Dortmund they've always been a bit of a question mark this year for the reasons you mentioned as well as lack of experience. I myself thought we'd win comfortably this season and have it much harder in 2017/18 but for all we know Dortmund could click together quickly and if they do, they'll be a very formidable side. The Super Cup was an indication that they won't take as long as I previously thought, in my opinion.

I don't think they are that inexperienced...

Aubameyang
Reus-Götze-Schürrle
Weigl-Castro
Guerreiro-Bartra-Sokratis-Piszcek
Bürki

Plenty of experience. What they may lack is integration as a team; but, on the plus side, several players have a past with BVB, Tuchel or posession football.

Thing is, will Gotze and Schurrle (and especially Reus with his injuries) be frequent starters? They might prefer Dembele and Mor

According to what I gather from reports, interviews and the like, Mor is nowhere near ready. Not only is he a hothead prone to collect cards, I also read he has a lot to learn tactically. Dembele, during preparation he was alternating between flashes of brilliance and straying around like a lost kitten. One of them (I think it was Dembele, but don't quote me on it) said in an interview, in Tuchel's system they (=the attacking players) have to learn how to defend. They're not coming from teams where Gegenpressing is regularly practiced or played. As I said, I don't think all of this is something that can be overcome in a matter of weeks.

Dembele's flashes of brilliance have been really impressive though... I would hope (for Dortmund's sake) that they give him substantial play time this season. Guys like Schurrle and even Goetze have been around and shown what they're capable of... but Dembele is the really signing of the offseason for them.

Hitzfeld’s hope [source]

Ottmar Hitzfeld is tipping Borussia Dortmund to push FC Bayern München all the way in the Bundesliga this season. The 67-year-old, who won Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League titles with both clubs, believes Dortmund are back in a position where they can threaten Bayern’s domestic dominance.

“I would hope that Bayern don’t walk away with it, but I’m convinced that Dortmund will be serious challengers,” he told RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland. “Dortmund are going to hunt Bayern down. They’ve made some astute signings.”

I believe him. Dortmund will make it close. But they are also the only Bundesliga side capable of remotely making it close. Provided we don't royally **** it up.

I believe Schalke and Leverkusen are quite good as well. We're going to have a harder season.

Leverkusen will finish fourth. Maybe third if they are lucky. For Schalke I don't know if it will be a rough season or a surprising one considering the transitions they've made.

The promises that some players show, or flashes of brilliance as they say, are also part of the interest of this sport, and the least we can say is that Dortmund's young guns excite many neutral fans around the world. This is a victory in itself considering the departure of three key players.
Nevertheless, it seems hard to believe that this team will integrate all the newcomers in a short time, there will inevitably be a period of adaptation which probably will benefit to Dortmund's main rivals for the second spot.

Who's gonna finish third then, in your opinion? Gladbach?
