I was going to post yesterday that Bremen's manager will be the first victim. That was quick.

From what I've heard Kuba should have had two assists but Gomez missed two great chances. :D

Can see Claudio Pizarro taking over as player manager, mainly by force... He's got the personality to whip them all in to shape and a great knowledge of the game from some of the managers he's had (Jupp, Guardiola, Van Gaal, Avram Grant etc), don't think they could do any better, although they probably won't have a say in the matter). Can't think who else would take change

There are some proposals for a reform of the Bundesliga that would make it less of a league and more of a cup. The proposal is that when the league is over, the 1st and 4th places play a semi-final, while the 2nd and 3rd places play another semi-final. The winners of the semi-final would contest a final to determine who wins the Bundesliga! [source]

I really disagree with this because you reduce the league to qualifiers. You can take it relaxed, finish fourth and still win the Bundesliga.

... and another thing, might reduce teams to losing on purpose.

For example, the 2nd placed team is in much better form than the 1st placed team. The 3rd placed team might try to lose on purpose in order to finish 4th and avoid playing the best team in the semi.

I can't believe that such idiocy is being proposed in a country like Germany! I expect such things to only be proposed here in Malta. In fact last season it was proposed something on these lines but it was dismissed.

edit. They are trying to destroy Bayern dominance... No problem if they want just that ; Bayern should make sure to leave the BuLi and join a different league... Or else create the European Super League...

Yes, they are, but it could very well backfire. FC Bayern will sooner or later not finish 1st in the league table, but with the proposed reform they'd still be given a lifeline.

but sorry it does not make sense... Imagine the team finishing first end up with let say 10 pts + ... Is it fair ? NO ...

I didn't change my mind since then, but I think if this reform comes to life somehow, it must be implemented in all top european leagues and not only in the Bundesliga.

You can also relax by winning the league in March or April and completely truncate the end of it. Bayern have a long history on this.

This is a very unlikely scenario but all formats have their pros and cons.

I really, really dislike it. We've already seen how boring watching the Bundesliga becomes when Bayern mathematically win the league in April or earlier. Now, it'll get boring when Bayern mathematically achieve a top 4 finish, which would happen way earlier!
