WHY DIDNT BAYERN DO THIS!!!

It seems a very Spanish thing to do at the moment. Ive heard of both Barcelona and Real Madrid doing this kind of deal where they sell for a set price and then can buy the player back after two years for the same price. I imagine that other clubs that have excellant youth systems will start adopting this kind of transfer strategy to avoid Hummels esc mistakes.

It is, it really is! Keep in mind Jordi Alba is actually a Barcelona kid too...

What I hate is how players like Alba, Reus etc all dream of going back to their original club at some point and the only great one we ever sold hates us more than any other club in the world

And TBH with Hazard, Marin, Mata and co they don't really need him.

But if he leaves BL I will be very angry hehehehehe

Well, I don't know. He's a great a player and I would like him to stay in the Bundesliga but if they get an offer of 25 million+, it does make sense to sell him.

And who are they going to replace him with then, even with 25 million? Schürrle is one of those rare German talents that isn't in Bayern or Dortmund, and neither of those two are going to sell their players (well, Dortmund won't to a German club, that is  ).

€25mil is a lot of money to turn down, would be a big profit for them.

Fair point, after a disappointing season last year, Leverkusen aren't the attractive proposition they were 12 months ago. Monchengladbach have taken that from them.

I think it would show a lack of ambition from Schurrle to go to Chelsea. It would be a massive pay day for him, but Chelsea aren't going to improve on what they done last year. What he needs is to stay at Leverkusen and force his way into Die Mannschaft starting XI, then see where the offers come in from.

Chelsea are ludicrous spenders, take my word for it they will spend any money they need for any player they want and they hardly take no for an answer. Will also be interesting to see how Lukaku at Bremen plays out...
Jesus saves, but Kahn does it better ;)

This is true but you know that a club like Leverkusen can't afford to turn down that sort of money. This is one of the main reasons why the Bundesliga needs better marketing and TV deals.

A player like Schürrle could very well be the difference between Champions League football and the bum's league (Europa).
