1. FC Köln vs Bayern Munich

1. FC Köln vs Bayern Munich
Competition: 1. Bundesliga
Venue: RheinEnergieStadion, Cologne

FC Bayern's last league match is a meaningless encounter during which Heynckes may take the opportunity of testing the players who will have to play in the Champions League final due to suspensions and injuries alike. It may also be the last chance for farewells. Incidentally, Lukas Podolski will play his last match for Cologne against his former employers FC Bayern before moving to Arsenal.

Stuttgart were on a good run of form, but fell to the Allianz Arena. Köln play at home, but their form is awful. Here's hoping a Gomez hattie to make him top scorer again. But who knows about team selection...

Koln need 3 points to make sure they remain in 16th place. If they draw and Berlin win, they'll be relegated because Berlin would overtake them on goal difference. So they have something to play for...

I think we will send out a strong lineup in this one, because there are no more midweek games this season. I can see us trying out a lineup without Alaba/Gustavo/Badstuber, but other than that I expect most of our usual starters to play.

Im against this, will you bench the suspended players for the rest of the season just to try the chelsea line up? Training sessions should be enough for that.

And how about if one of the suspended players subs get an injury?

I think we should at least play Tymo as CB and Rafinha/Lahm FB duo if that's what JH has in mind. Maybe have Schweini/Kroos at the beginning as our CM duo.

Schweini-Kroos have to play and hopefully Tymo at CB too. Other than that no need to drop the suspended players.

Tymo as CB (and Contento as LB) is a must for this game, because against BVB we cannot play him there. We need to test the shifted backline which will play against Chelsea in an official game.

I mean: How about if Contento , Rafhina or Tymo gets injured against Koln?

No need to take risks when you have better players to play for them.

It is a dilemma, Armbrust, but I'm gonna lean towards giving Kroos/Schweini a chance to play together in CM, Muller as CAM, and Tymo as CB, just to try to develop the right chemistry in a real match rather than bring them into the Chelsea game without recent match practice in the roles they are supposed to play. They don't need to run themselves to the ground, though. Because we still have a days to rest before the final I'm suspecting JH will field our Chelsea lineup against Koln.

Yep -- JH has to at least test out what will go up against Chelsea at some point so he can discover what needs to be tweaked. Playing with the same team we always have is futile, and throwing Tymo in at CB without testing him would be dangerous.
