Bayern agree Klose deal
Bayern Munich have struck a deal to sign Miroslav Klose from Werder Bremen this summer.
Klose had 12 months remaining on his Bremen contract and had already outlined his intention to join Bayern in 2008.
However, the Bavarian club have been keen to reach an agreement with their Bundesliga rivals to sign the striker in time for the new season.
Club president Franz Beckenbauer, along with Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, had stressed the desire to ensure Klose was added to the squad for next term.
Both clubs have now confirmed that a transfer fee has been agreed, with Klose signing a four-year contract at the Allianz Arena.
Bremen general manager Klaus Allofs said: "Bayern fulfilled our expectations and we approved the transfer under those conditions."
Reports in Germany claim that Bayern will pay 15million (Ģ10million) for the Polish-born hit-man, who was top scorer at the 2006 World Cup.
Klose will form a new-look strike-force for Bayern next season following the capture of Italian ace Luca Toni from Fiorentina.

I think we should keep Makaay, he could still play an important role at Bayern, especially next season as Poldi is coming out of a long term injury and Klose has not been playing very well lately...
If Klose regains is fitness though and doesn't have trouble adjusting to Bayern, then this is certainly good news. |

| Great news! but i still don't understand how he will fit into the squad. He's sure to partner Toni up front and unless Bayern play 3 up front, where does this leave Podolski (or Klose, depending on which Hitzfeld chooses to start). I guess we've plenty of reinforcements up front now and thats great. |

I couldn't reply earlier but when I heard the news yesterday it made me so happy I was like drunk for the rest of the day (well, later on in the evening I did get a bit drunk ). It really made my day. I think this squad can go a very long way now.
I don't think there's any other team in the world which will make defences pee in their pants during a corner as will Bayern now. Just imagine... Toni, Klose, Lucio and Van Buyten waiting in the box to head the ball in. Our aerial threat is supreme. |

Yesterday, I was sitting on my couch watching Sky Sports News Report and I was wondering what the status was on the Klose/Bayern situation when Sky News reported that he had signed with Bayern. To say I was happy when be an understatement.
They said on Fox Soccer News that with Klose signing with Bayern, Bayern has spent about $93.6 million US dollars in transfers this season. Holy macaroni and cheese! Bayern really did open their wallets this year and I do hope it pays off in the end. |

| Klose is similar to Toni but he can also assist very well. I think Toni will be our main striker and Klose will be feeding him the ball plenty of times. But I think because Toni isnīt use to be anything else but a main man and Klose gave more asists last year than he scored goals I think its realistic to think that will be the case. |
