I think we deserve to play in Uefa cup, after all these is the cup for the smaller teams and teams that donīt know how to win a shitty bundesliga game, so Iīve voted for Schalke win. Damn this season is pathetic. Do ppl still think we stand a chance against Milan?

the players are coming back from international duty soo they could be tired... I doubt we'll win tbh, but we dont deserve to play in the uefa cup. we will play in the CL because thats where Bayern belong.

Well, if we lose to supposedly weaker teams, then we should be able to win this one.

There`s no weaker team in the Champions League! anyways.. I voted for winning.. `cause I`m so optimistic person!!! Laughing and after this match we`ll decide if we could play for the title or not! but no matter what.. we deserve to play in Champions League not the UEFA Cup.. `cause we are simply FC Bayern and the best!!!!!!

Yeah, unfortunately Bayern have not lived up to their billing as the best in Germany this year, but if they can beat Schalke (and basically everyone else they still have to play) then there's still a chance to remedy that come the final matchday. Anyone who knows anything about football knows that you can never count Bayern out! (Except maybe against AC Milan! Mad ) That being said, I voted for a draw because I'm not sure the team is really feeling up to things at the moment. Milan being next after this game might give them a little more spring in their step, but as we all saw against Frankfurt that doesn't necessarily mean you'll score goals. Are there any suspensions for this game?

Schalke coach Mirko Slomka has accused national team boss Joachim Low of giving preferential treatment to the Royal Blues' Bundesliga rivals.

The Germany coach agreed to release players from clubs still involved in European competition for Wednesday's friendly with Denmark after Saturday's impressive 2-1 Euro 2008 qualification victory over Czech Republic.

Fourth-placed Bayern Munich, who host Slomka's Bundesliga leaders on Saturday, welcomed Bastian Schweinsteiger, Philipp Lahm and Lukas Podolski back to training on Monday because they are still in the Champions League.

And Werder Bremen players Torsten Frings and Per Mertesacker were permitted to return to prepare for their UEFA Cup last-16 tie with AZ Alkmaar.

But Schalke striker Kevin Kuranyi, who scored both goals in Saturday's win in Prague, will not return until Thursday after Die Knappen's first-round exit to Nancy in the UEFA Cup.

And with his side leading second-placed Bremen by just three points and Bayern having the opportunity to close the gap to six at the weekend, Slomka insists his rivals are being given an unfair advantage at what is a crucial stage in the season.

"Kevin should only play a half," the Schalke coach told the Bild newspaper. "But then you ask yourself: Why should he play and the others not?"

They are, same as virtually every other season, the best performing German club in the Champions League this season. They are the only club to qualify to the knockout stage, and then eliminated Real Madrid. In contrast, Schalke bowed out way too early in the UEFA Cup (which has lower quality to the Champions League).

My guess is that Bayern would be able to achieve better results than at least one of Schalke, Bremen and Stuttgart in next season's Champions League.

For this reason alone, I think it would be good for German football to have Bayern representing it at the CL.

I don't think Low is giving any preferential treatment to Schalke's competitors. I think he kept Kurnayi because, unlike the others, Kuranyi hasn't played a lot with the NT and he's giving him more time. Then again, if he is giving some preferential treatment to their rivals, well I'm not going to complain. Very Happy
