is much more flexible and it does not suffer from the fact, that almost each team can defensively shut down the offensive center position, like a system with a single AM does. Even in the past two season Bayerns playmker were Lahm and Sagnol + Ze Roberto, Schweini, Brazzo or Deisler. All of them played on the wings either more defensive or more offensive and that's what we have to rebuild with Schweini, Sosa, and hopefully Jansen and Robben.
Coupled with two real CM that have the ability to play good passes and add some goal scoring abilites such a system is much less guessable because it is much more versatile. If you don't want believe, fine but I think I'm right since the classic playmaker are dying out and players like Ronaldinho operate form the wings

Heard a news that Bayern offered 19 millions for Van der Vaart. Anyone else heard anything?

by the way, Sneijder and Van der Vaart have the same agent, Soren Lerby, who was supposedly seen in Munchen searching for a house Smile

I'm sure it is a hoax

that's not the job of a player agent, either a broker is doing that or the club. Therefore also a hoax

i know... so many attack-minded players, it would truly be a dream to have all these (so far) only rumoured players... never again will we have gorlitz, ottl and demicelis lined up along side each other in midfield lol.

Well, Hitzfeld said we wont necesarily sign a Playmaker among the new pepople and even added that doing so would make the new Bayern more "predictable", which we don't want. Lame excuse for not seriously going after someone like VDV or Sneijder if this is true...unless you have extremely good wingers, playmakers are a must...

*sigh*

Don't mix up the different understandings of a "playmaker". Since you are mixing up Sneijder und vdV you obviously did that Rolling Eyes

I say it again, Sneijder is not a playmaker. He is a central midfielder and that's a huge difference

sorry... I have not seen Sneijder play very much, just some awesome goal highlights. But I was under the impression that VDV and Sneijder were competing for the same position in the national team, so...

Both a different natural position, vdV is a COM/AM, whereas Sneijder plays deeper as a CM. Additionally vdV is not really fitting into the scheme of the classic 10, the player that is usally seen as the playmaker, he is simply lacking strategic abilities and he can only compensate that in scoring goals (in a certain way he is similar to Ballack). Contrary, Sneijder comes more nearer to the classic 10, he has better abilities to actually make or dictate a game but of course from a deeper position.

In Bayern's coming system of play there is certainly no room for vdV, since his natural position should be obsolete next season. Sneijder's position is actually open at Bayern and I'm curious with which player Bayern will fill this need, since I don't expect Bayern bidding for Sneijder (which all these rumors were not true)

Bavaria Munich missed a possible obligation of midfield player Rafael before two years obviously van the Vaart. Explains the star of Hamburg sports association in the sport picture. The Dutchman was therefore offered 2005 Bavaria, but it was rejected there, it is not well enough. "that is naturally gotten stuck with me. That was not beautiful ", said to the 24-Jaehrige, which changed afterwards for five million euro to the HSV: "you did not want me at that time, now want I no more to the FC Bavaria."

Its in German. I used the translator and from it I got that Bayern had the chance to sign him in 2005, but didn't, and Vdv hasn't forgotten that. He's basically making it clear he'll never play for us.
