Boruc - Never!

Postby Bayernglasgowfan on Thu Mar 20, 2008 10:42 pm

I have said this somewhere before in here but will do so again. Artur Boruc is not the type of player we need at FC Bayern.

Also;

He has a major attitude problem brought to the surface due to the 'rivalry' between Celtic and Rangers - a rivalry that is far from healthy beleive you me as I happen to live in Glasgow. In short he is a 'wind-up' merchant (gets on peoples back just for the sake of it and does not bother than his actions could have consequences off field between sets of supporters).

He cannot be trusted to remain loyal to any particular club - since signing for Celtic he has rented a flat in the City Centre rather than commit and buy an apartment/house

He is prone to making laughable errors of judgement - both on and off the field.

He plays in a league where the only matches that are of any consequence are the 4 meetings with Rangers. Subsequently he plays his football in a sub-standard league (forget Aberdeen getting a 2:2 in UEFA Cup) where the majority of the strikers he is up against would miss an open goal more times than they would score.

Any occasion he has come up against Champions League standard opponents Celtic fail to do anything (forget the fact they believe they have an invincible fortress at Parkhead - over two legs or a group stage Celtic are always found lacking and Boruc too).

Michael Rensing may not be everyone's idea of the new No.1 but he is not yet the finished article. He deserves his chance and to take it off him at the expense of Boruc would be unforgivable in my opinion.

As for Craig Gordon? He has hardly set the English Premier League alight playing with Sunderland has he?

FC Bayern need a Scottish goalkeeper like a they need a hole in the head.

Thankfully I don't see it ever happening, Boruc is trying to get an improved deal with his current club and it's a shame he is using the same tactics that Bobo Balde used a year or so ago when he cliamed Bayern were desparate to buy him (he is now exiled on the bench with nowhere to go and only the consolation of a huge pay packet to keep him happy).

Bye bye boruc.

Bayern dismiss Boruc talk
Hoeness denies interest in Celtic goalkeeper

Bayern Munich have rubbished reports suggesting they are interested in Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc.

The Poland international is contracted to Celtic until 2011 but he has admitted he could move on in the summer.

He has been linked with Bayern and stated this week that he would consider an offer from the German giants.

Bayern goalkeeping coach Sepp Maier had reportedly travelled to watch Boruc in action, but general manager Uli Hoeness insists that was not the case.

Hoeness is also adamant that Bayern have no interest in bringing in Boruc this summer.

"There is absolutely nothing in the story," he told the Evening Times.

"It's a strange story. Sepp Maier wasn't there (in Scotland). From beginning to end, there is no truth in it."

So how is he going to be ready then? By staying on the bench?? Rensing should be number 1.
