Last night, Leverkusen held on to a 0-0 draw against Blackburn and Bremen lost 3-1 to Ajax Amsterdam in the UEFA Cup, but both teams went through to the last 16.
Leverkusen 3-2 Blackburn

Werder Bremen ALMOST self-destructed yesterday... ...
Thank god they are into the next round.
They have a tough fixture with Celta.
So do Bayer with Lens.
Lets hope they get past the next round too. That would do a lot of good to Bundesliga.  |

Unless German teams do especially well in the European competitions this season, the Bundesliga will fall behind the Portuguese one in the rankings.

For the rankings, only the last 5 years count. Now, Germany's above Portugal but if you look at the 2001/2002 season, Germany got much more points than Portugal. At the end of this season, the results of the 2001/2002 season will no longer be in the equation. That means that Germany's ranking would be of 34.864 + the points of this season, and the Portuguese ranking would be of 34.666 + the points of this season. So it's a tight race now for the 5th place, and at the same time we'll lose further ground to the French, since they had a poor 2001/2002 season. |

yes 
and next season we'll have 2 in CL and 3 in UEFA (this season we had only 1 in CL and 2 in UEFA)
but to be honest i don't think we'll pass over Germany  |

nop, we were better than Germany in UEFA Cup in last 2 years, don't know about this year but next season im sure we'll be even better |

I think they relaxed a bit... and underestimated ajax..
they will be fine..I think they are gonna lift UEFA cup this year.. |
