It's not what you say, it's the manner in which you say it. The way to go is... less emoticons, less bold, less caps, less insult, more educated comments. Since you seem to like Beckenbauer, you may think... hmm, how would Beckenbauer phrase what I want to say, if he's doing a public statement?

As an example:

bad: WOOHOOOOOOO!!!! BYE BYE STUPID MAGATH!
good: I give Hitzfeld a hearty welcome to our club and wish him loads of successes.

SNAKE wrote:but saying like "Bayern are crap" isnt wrong

Yes, it is wrong. How about "I don't think Bayern are playing well because of <intelligent reasons here, excluding insults>". This is basic net ethiquette.

SNAKE wrote:The forum is fine but by the way, deleting ppls posts isnt right either, its against their will, its better to warn ppl in private or atleast edit the phrase you didnt like but not delete the whole damn thing.

You've already said this before. I do what I feel is best for the forum. I consider everyone's suggestions, but I disagree with yours. I'm sorry, but I will not tolerate such behaviour in this forum.

SNAKE wrote:By the way, where in this entire forum has a post that its abusive towards the staff?

Excuse me for the misunderstanding. By staff I meant the Bayern Munich staff (i.e. the coach, the board and the players) not the BayernForum.com staff.

SNAKE wrote:By the way what was wrong with that quote I said? send me a msg in private if you like.

Once I draw the posting guidelines, you will see that it was inappropriate. It was insulting the Bayern staff in a bit of a rude manner. It was humorous, but still rude.

Now, back to the topic, I had voted for a Bayern win before Magath got fired, and I don't intend on changing my vote! :)

MUTU , Mark right ? well remember when you emailed me and said that kids are in this forum also? Well how to you expect from a kid to say when Bayern loses a match or whatever ? He wont say it in a mature educated way he/she will most likely swear.

WOW! All I wanted to know was who everyone thought was going to win between Bayern and Nuremberg.

I don't want to go off topic here but I will for just a second. I was always taught that if you wanted to convince folks to see your point of view and agree with you then it's better to use effective words and not angry words. Trust me, I've read posts that I'm liking how the poster is conveying his/her thoughts and I'm agreeing/understanding with the poster. But then, the poster goes off and he/she loses me therefore I don't agree/understand in the end. Maybe this is because I'm becoming a teacher, therefore I look at everything through the eyes of a teacher.

Oh, not every child swears and not every adult swears. There are kids out there who can communicate in a mature way.

Ok....now let's get back to the game discussion. I haven't voted yet because I'm still debating on it. Maybe I need to vote the opposite of what I want because that's what has been happening lately. Whatever I vote for the end result is the opposite.

I voted draw and I don't plan to change it. I think I want to be cautious, if we win on Friday I won't immediately think we'll win everything now :) Hitzfeld has to prove himself. Especially to me, who has no idea who he is really, only know what I've read on here and on the Bayern site.

I say a draw. all the games Nuremberg plays end up with a draw so the same think will happen this Friday.

As of today, it's interesting how no one has predected a Nuremberg win.

Whoa. They fired Magath. Whoa. I was totally going to vote draw, but I see a win in Bayern’s near future. Based on my observations:

1. A team usually wins after getting a new coach.
2. The players perform much better to warm up to the coach. (especially true if he’s been the coach for the same team before)

I don’t know too much about Hitzfeld. What’s his style like? Different from Magath’s? Defense or offense minded?
"Tactics? What tactics?" - Mark van Bommel to Felix Magath after being accused of lack of effort and tactical discipline.

Hitzfeld is more defense-minded. He's also well-known for rotating players a lot, something Magath refused to do. This means that we should start seeing Karimi, Lell and Goerlitz play more often.

this is great news, I always thought Bayern is too big for Magath, with Hitzfeld in charge, I can only expect to see better things !!!

Yup, Mark aint pleased by this develepment. Atleast he can manage this current quality, thats whats good about him and didnt we also see Lell and Karimi play this season, so nothing new about this. I wish all be best of luck to my Fav. manager (after Beckenbauer) and I hope he will revive this broken club with his great wisdom. He might be a little on the defensive side but he sure can motivate the team to victory like against Man Utd and Real Madrid in 2001.

I never said I wasn't happy. What I said is that perhaps Hitzfeld wasn't the ideal choice, given that the general opinion with Bayern fans when Hitzfeld left was happiness. But now we have new players and he recharged his batteries. I'm feeling confident, but I don't want to get carried away. Don't expect us to suddenly start scoring 6 goals per game...
