If i am not mistaken how many dutch players we have ..like van bommel and makaay only ..lol so why do we need a dutch coach when we only have tw odutchies in our team. Look what happened to barca...gathered all holland in the team and they were awesomly croooop . Took a dutch to kick them out. Anyway the only coach for Bayern is Hitzfeld...our coach should be german and german only , well anyway ..

I dont think the nationality of the coach is that important. Just look at barca nowadays, Rijkaard is doing a great job. The players just need someone who can lead them, someone to look up to, who dares to punish them..
And of course there are many candidates, but not all of them got as much international experience as for instance VanGaal..

But lets just wait untill summer and see what happens.. if Hitzfeld does a good job he ll probably just stay Cool

2 key players though. Add to that the possibility of us getting Huntelaar in summer. Dutchmen speak good German and good English, so there would be absolutely no communication problems, which is important I think. Look at Karimi... they have a problem communicating with him.

I´ll bet you Huntelaar will want to go to a bigger club. And a better league. And why is Van Bommel os important? He never shone. He did well at best. He cannot replace Ballack.

By the way, I didnt want to create another topic for a small matter but, only Phillip Lahm and Bastian Schweinsteiger are called up for International duty for Joachim Loew, Mario Gomez will replace Lukas Podolski and Kevin Kuranyi is also added to the squad. While Willy Sagnol and Daniel Van Buyten are also called up for their country. So basicly this will be Germany's Squad: Timo Hildebrand (Stuttgart) and Jens Lamemann (Arsenal) - Arne Friedrich (Hertha Berlin), Manuel Friedrich (Mainz), Clemens Fritz (Werder Bremen), Marcell Jansen (Monchengladbach), Phillipp Lahm (Bayern Munchen), Christoph Metzelder (Borussia Dortmund), Per Mertesacker (Werder Bremen) - Michael Bollocks (Chelsea), Jan Schlaudraff (Alemannia Aachen), Bernd Schneider (Bayer Leverkusen), Torsten Frings, Tim Borowksi (Both Werder Bremen), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munchen), Thomas Hitzlsperger (Stuttgart) - Mario Gomez (Stuttgart), Kevin Kuranyi (Schalke 04), Miroslav Klose (Werder Bremen) and Mike Hanke (Wolfsburg).

The match is a friendly match on Fabuary 7 in Düsseldorf against Switzerland

I was wondering who was going to replace Podolski for those games that he's banned due to the kicking incident against Georgia. I like Gomez. I hope he plays well.

Wow, they called back Kuranyi. I'm glad Low called up Gomez. He definitely deserves a spot on that roster.

Of course! i was wondering why Poldi wasn't on the list called up. I thought he'd been dropped...I forgot all about the ban!
I'm glad Gomez is getting a chance, and Kuranyi. Kuranyi is doing amazing for Schalke at the moment. Why was he dropped in the first place? as much as I like Klose and Podolski, seems like Kuranyi should've been on the bench at least...

Bayern general manager Uli Hoeness has insisted his club is in no hurry to find a long-term successor to Felix Magath, who was sacked on Wednesday.

The Bavarian giants immediately installed former boss Ottmar Hitzfeld as coach until the end of the season, and Hoeness admitted the club could even extend that deal.

"I wouldn't rule it out," he said. "We don't have any plans for July 1 [when Hitzfeld's contract expires]. But it would be pretty stupid to start looking for a coach now for July 1."

Hitzfeld refused to be drawn on whether he was expecting a longer stay as Bayern manager than planned, merely stating "I am assuming that Bayern will find a successor after that."
