Materazzi headbutted again as Inter extend winning run
Inter Milan maintained their 11-point lead at the top of Serie A and extended their record run of consecutive league wins to 14 matches with a 2-0 victory at 10-man Sampdoria.

But the game was marred by Inter's Italian international defender Marco Materazzi once again being the victim of a headbutt.

Materazzi was the man infamously butted by French superstar Zinedine Zidane in the World Cup final last year.

On Sunday, it was Sampdoria's Gennaro Delvecchio who was the guilty party and he was sent off in the seventh minute for the assault.

Angered by a late challenge on Inter keeper Julio Cesar, Materazzi exchanged angry words with Delvecchio before the Sampdoria midfielder's head hit him squarely on the chin.

LOL!!! This guy knows how to push those buttons. I bet there's a sign on him that says "Hit your head here."

HAHAHA Laughing Makes you wonder what Materazzi said.

We had this event on campus a couple months back, and a person showed up dressed in Materazzi’s jersey and a bullseye taped on his shirt.

Materazzi, who reacted angrily when Delvecchio caught Inter keeper Julio Cesar with a late challenge, insisted he did nothing wrong.

'My reaction was instinctive and all I wanted to do was protect my keeper,' said the 33-year-old who lay on the ground as Delvecchio was sent off.

'I went over to say to him 'What do you think you're doing'?. He then pushed me and I didn't go down. Then he headbutted me and I fell to the ground. He hurt my lip.

'I admit it when I make a mistake, but on this occasion I didn't do anything wrong.'
