Ok ok... since I was bullied into giving my predicted score... ;)

I say Bayern will win convincingly, 3-1.

Magath could be without Mark van Bommel on Tuesday when they play their first home league game of the year. The Dutch international midfielder has an Achilles problem and missed training on Sunday.

That could mean a return to the starting line-up for Owen Hargreaves, the England midfielder who has not played since September after breaking his leg.

Midfielder Ali Karimi is also a fitness doubt and that could see Magath opt to recall Lukas Podolski and play three up front for a match Bayern must win.

I hope Mr.Podolski is in the starting line up.. Im still confident of his talent.. i think one nice goal could release all the pressures he has and then we everyone know what happens. Goals goals and goals.

I would say 3:0 to Bayern.. Goals : Podolski 2 and Lucio

EDIT : Feel free to add me to MSN!!!!

Welcome to the board Kavalli! I hope you're right about Podolski. He needs some goals but the only way he's gonna get those is if he plays.

i believe if magath can get his act together and make bayern's defence more stable with the likes of Lucio Van Buyten Sagnol and Lahm and get our midfield right. i believe we can win. Althought i believe with this lineup we can win against bochum

------------------------Kahn---------------------------
----Sagnol----Van Buyten---Lucio----Lahm------------------
--------------------Hargreaves----------------------------
-----Salihamidžić---------------Scheweini-------------------
-----------------------Bommel-----------------------
-----------Makaay------------------Podolski

The formation that *I* would like to see:

-------------Podolski----------Makaay-------------
--------------------------------------------------
-Lahm-----------Schweinsteiger-------------Sagnol
---------------------------------Van Bommel-------
----------------------Hargreaves------------------
--------------------------------------------------
--------------Demichelis--V Buyten--Lucio---------
----------------------Kahn------------------------

3 at the back? Not a good idea in my opinion, and why the hell would anyone start with a rat like Hargreaves? He doesnt even deserve to wear that sacred BAYERN SHIRT!!!!!!!!!

the line-up from fcbayern.de
Kahn - Sagnol, Lucio, van Buyten, Lahm - Salihamidzic, Hargreaves, van Bommel, Schweinsteiger - Pizarro, Makaay

my prediction 2-0 for bayern (pizarro and hargreaves) :D

That's ridiculous. He's leaving in an honourable way... he wants to try himself in the English league. He didn't do like Ballack and wait for his contract to expire so as to get a higher wage and a nice fat sign-on fee. He's leaving when he's still under contract, and Bayern will get a good amount of money for him. I'm more disappointed with Salihamidzic, who will leave for free to Juventus. In fact, he's not in my suggested formation ;)

Yes it's the 3-5-2 they've been talking about at the start of the season before Ismael got injured. Magath spoke about it as well now that Ismael is close to a comeback. In my opinion, we can start using it without waiting for Ismael. Lahm and Sagnol are better going forward than defending, so reducing their defensive duties will allow them to play better. We can have Hargreaves in his ideal holding role, Van Bommel in his ideal central midfield position... a bit to the right aiding Sagnol, and Schweinsteiger in an attacking midfield position... a bit to the left aiding Lahm and Podolski, with which he has a great partnership. Also, this way, when one defender goes up to attack, there's still 2 central defenders at the back. I think the formation makes the best use of each and every single player that we have.
