Yeah but they got that way because of a TV deal. How many people in their right mind would want to buy a shirt with his name on it? Not me. |

Their new TV deal is not effective yet. They didn't win any silverware in the past 3 or 4 years..But still, they managed to stay at the top of the list.
Check out this PDF

Their commercial earnings are phenomenal.
I would definitely buy a Beckham shirt...In fact, I thought of buying it..but then, Real madrid started behaving crazy by buying all brazilians and I lost interest in them.. |

he past his prime after the move to real he stopped being the same..money and glamour changed his brains. He is more a model than a player.
Ronaldo is past his prime as well |

Didn't Ronaldo score two and assist one for AC the other day? He's definitely got some still left in him
And I miss Beckham's curtains. But I suppose as he got older, he couldn't get away with it anymore |

While David is in Spain, Posh has been all around town with her best friend, Katie Holmes. She went to the Oscar parties and it's now being reported that she will have a TV show. It will be a documentary, not a reality show, about her. She said David and the kids will not be on the show.
Anyway, this just proves that David is only moving here not to help the MLS but to allow his wife to start up for "spice" less career. I, for one, will not watch it. :-&
BTW....off topic but there's rumors going around that at least one MLS team is trying to convince Zidane to come to the MLS. I would watch him. |

Yeah that was like after the world cup. Chicago fire or whatever their name is was trying to get him there, but he was like, hell no I'm not coming to chicago are you kidding me? that's a f*cked up team I don't belong there............ NO I'm just joking he didn't say that, but he just refused. He said I'm retarded now I mean retired |

Actually what you are talking about is old news. The new news is that Zidane said if a team can pay him 15 million (only two teams could afford him - the Chicago Fires and the NY Red Bulls) he would consider it. However, his wife would have to agree with the move. If she would feel comfortable moving to the US then he might do it. Of course, those two teams probably won't put out the cash if he said he would do it. |
