| Post subject: Transfer list page |
|
|
I've had an idea for a great page for the site. I wish to gather your feedback before I proceed, so as to get additional ideas which I can implement.
Basically this will be a page that will list the transfers in/out of Bayern
Every time myself (and other people who I will give access to) come across some news site which mentions the rumour, the listing can be updated to reflect the 'last heard of' date.
The list will be sorted by 'last heard of' descending (i.e. newest first)
Here's an example:
Owen Hargreaves to Manchester United (confirmed interest) [1] - 15 Jan 2007
What will be inputted would be:
1) Player name
2) Club name
3) direction (from or to)
4) status - I identified these for now:
- unconfirmed interest (eg Felipe Melo)
- confirmed interest (eg Hargreaves)
- denied (eg Riquelme)
- offer (concrete offer submitted, waiting answer)
- dismissed (old rumour)
5) Links to threads discussing the transfer
6) Last heard of date
So, any ideas? |

| Hey, sounds like a great idea. I signed up for this basketball blog and they have a rumor tracker http://www.goldenstateofmind.com/story/2007/1/15/34239/2596#commenttop. It has all the stuff that you listed and all the news articles that refer the transfer. Plus I like the tagline "99% of rumors never happen, but 99% of them are fun to talk about!" |

The first part is done.
http://www.bayernforum.com/transfer_list.php
However, I still need to make an interface for myself (and others) to be able to update the transfer list, which is what will take longest. |
