Are you the only Bayern Munich fan in your household?

Postby tracylynn on Thu Dec 28, 2006 6:38 pm

I was wondering how many board members are the only fans of Bayern Munich in his/her family? I know I am. My father's favorite teams are Chelsea and Manchester United (interesting combination, eh?) and mother's favorite teams are Nottingham Forest (I believe they are a English team) and Hertha Berlin.

What about your family?

at this point, i'm the only one. every now and then, i get the feeling of being the only bayern fan in the city, which is presumably a logical consequence of supporting a foreign team.
yet, none of the teams i follow are local.

My brother is a Bayern fan(he is older than me) and it's because of him I'm a Bayern fan. But since we came here in USA he doesn't really care about Bayern anymore :? I DO. He is more into Chelsea now  I think maybe because Ballack moved there. But if Bayern wins the Champions League this year he will like Bayern more :)

That's how it is for me. None of the teams that I like are local and everyone I've talked to about sports think I'm a traitor because I don't cheer on the local teams. For a lot of folks around here, not cheering on the local team is like a sin.

I am in my household, and I don't think there is another Bayern fan for another 30 miles lol. Last time I told someone I supported Bayern Munich, they were flabberghasted that I liked a German team! My dad supports Man United, so I was brought up supporting them, but lost interest in football around time of 2002 world cup. Only really followed England since, and never League teams. I think my brother likes Everton (England) and Portugal.
