| Schalke won 3-0 away to Mainz and Stuttgart won 2-1 away against Hannover with the winner being an own goal from Hannover's Zuraw. The only positive think is that Stuttgart's Boka was sent off and will now miss the match against Bayern. |

| I'm hoping that Bayern will get third place by the end of the season, but they're going to need help from the other teams in defeating Schalke, Stuggart, and Bremen. Hopefully, they'll start losing and Bayern can catch them. |

VfB Stuttgart on Saturday moved to within a point
of Bundesliga leaders Schalke 04 with a 1-0 victory at Borussia
Moenchengladbach.
Midfielder Roberto Hilbert scored the only goal of the match eight
minutes after the restart after being sent through by German
international Thomas Hitzlsperger.
The home side remain rooted to the bottom of the table and need a
miracle to remain in the top flight. They also had Steve Gohouri sent
off in the dying minutes.
Stuttgart's victory was made even sweeter as their main rivals for
a place in the Champions League, Bayern Munich, lost 2-1 at home
against SV Hamburg.
Bayern coach Ottmar Hitzfeld had rather arrogantly claimed two
weeks ago that they will comfortably overtake Stuttgart, but with
just three matches remaining the defending champions find themselves
eight points behind Stuttgart in fourth place and retain only a
theoretical chance of qualifying for next season's Champions League.
Peruvian striker Claudio Pizarro put Bayern ahead after a
goalmouth scramble in the 35th minute, but two goals for the visitors
in five minutes late in the second half turned things Hamburg's way.
Dutch midfielder Rafael van der Vaart, who is being wooed by
Bayern, scored a magnificent equalizer in the 71st minute and just
five minutes later former Bayern player Paolo Guerrero gave Hamburg,
who ended the match with ten men after Thimothee Atouba was sent off
in the last minute, an important victory.
At the wrong end of the table there were disappointing defeats at
home for Mainz 05, who lost 2-1 against fellow strugglers Hanover 96
and Alemannia Aachen, who were trounced 4-0 by Hertha Berlin.
Mainz are second from last on 31 points, while Aachen are a place
above them with 33 points.
Borussia Dortmund managed to ease their relegation worries with a
2-0 victory at home against Eintracht Frankfurt. Swiss international
Alexander Frei scored both goals with direct freekicks for the home
side. Dortmund move to 11th in the table with 38 points, while
Frankfurt are 14th on 34.
VfL Wolfsburg also managed to put a small gap between themselves
and a relegation place with a 1-1 draw in Nuremberg. Wolfsburg are
now 13th with 36 points.
Table toppers Schalke lost 2-1 at VfL Bochum in Friday's match to
remain on 62 points, while Stuttgart's victory took them to 61
points. Third place Werder Bremen have a chance to move to the top of
the table on Sunday if they win at Arminia Bielefeld. They are
currently on 60 points. |

Schalke 04 coach Mirko Slomka said his side now expect to lose their place at the top of the Bundesliga as a result of the defeat, but will keep on fighting.
"We had two quite clear penalties turned down by the referee," said Slomka.
"It is sad that the game was decided in such a way, but we also had enough chances to win the game.
"We lost far too much possession in the midfield and we must ssume we won't be league leaders after the weekend." |

Ok.. here is my theory.
Bremen loses the rest of the games and Bayern wins the rest of the games, and that leaves Bremen with 60 points as they are, and Bayern goes up to 62 and the CL spot. Klose says, well fvck this sh*t I'm going to Bayern and play some CL matches next season. So we get CL spot and Klose...
....and then I woke up |
