i'm interested in what you think of Owen Hargreaves the player, and the man.
I'll admit i am a Manchester United fan (sorry about that!).
i've been a bit bemused by how long his transfer has been dragging on for. Not so sure i'd be happy if a United player had kept expressing his desire to leave the club like Hargreaves has done with Bayern.
Don't really know that much about him, so want to know more about what we are getting. what are his strengths and weaknesses?
he seemed to have been loyal to Bayern previously and not one to hog the limelight. (bordering on being quite bland...like most modern day footballers!) Is he really like that?
hope you don't mind me asking! |

I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed with Hargreaves' attitude of expressing his desire to leave in public and naming a single club as a destination. But otherwise, he was always very correct. I used to read his newspaper column and I generally liked his attitude.
Let's not forget how many years he gave to Bayern Munich, it's not really typical for an englishman. The most thing I can't forget is his Champions League appearance as a rookie to replace the great Effenberg, Owen had a hell of a game and we all knew that he'll be a key player for us.
His versatility is his greatest strength (RB, RM and CDM), not to mention his shot, his good ability on set pieces and his hard-working attitude on the pitch.
I used to laugh at his critics from England before the world cup. I couldn't believe the fans attitude towards him. Even if he has chosen the team that I hate the most in the world, Owen Hargreaves is a player I will never forget. |

Ha! I can't believe that we got so much for him. He's shite. I can't wait until man u realise that and then try to off-load him for about 7m like they did with veron. |

i completely disagree, yeah he was no jeremies... but he's a top drawer player, and his commitment on the pitch was never in doubt, and probably never will be!
fact of the matter is, the way he left, well, it left a bitter taste in all our mouths but there's no way in hell that carrick's worth anywhere near as much as hargreaves, he's exactly what any team whats in a defensive midfielder! |

| I think man u have a history of over-rating and over spending on players - carrick, veron, ronaldo and now hargreaves. He's average at best, yes he works hard but thats not enough you also need some talent. |
