Any news about Dos Santos? I think next season Bayern will loan him out again or sell him.

Dos Santos given new loan chance

Postby MUTU on Thu Jun 19, 2008 11:26 am

Bayern Munich midfielder Julio dos Santos will be hoping to kick-start his career in Brazil after being loaned out to Atletico Paranaense.

The 25-year-old arrived in Germany after being named Paraguay's player of 2005, but failed to impress at the Munich giants, or any of his three loan clubs.

Having initially been earmarked as a replacement for Michael Ballack, he made only a handful of substitute appearances before spending loan spells at Wolfsburg, Almeria and Gremio.

He now returns to Brazil in an attempt to prove himself before his contract with Bayern ends next summer.

Bayern's misfit midfielder Santos is shown the door

Postby MUTU on Fri Jun 27, 2008 1:23 am

MUNICH, Germany (AFP) — German first division side Bayern Munich on Thursday ended their association with misfit Paraguayan midfielder Julio dos Santos.

Santos, 25, whose contract was due to run out in 2009, failed to impress the club's bosses, making only five appearances in the German top flight.

In 2007 he was loaned out to German club Wolfsburg and Spanish side Almeria, before heading to Brazil's Gremio Porto Alegrense earlier this year.
