Who has the best smile? Toni. Toni's smile looks sincere. It looks like he really wants to be there. Ribery, well....he needs some work on those teeth. Oh my!!
Seriously, I'm glad that Toni signed with Bayern. I can forgive him for the comment he made before the Italy/Germany WC match ("German was afraid if us before, but now they are really afraid of us"). I'll take that comment as one of those "in the heat of the moment" comments which he didn't really mean to say. |

| Can someone please explain to me why being Italian is such a problem? I guess I just don't understand why anyone would have a problem because of an individual's nationality. Maybe it's because I'm a blond or naive but I really don't see what's the big deal with him being Italian. I'm no fan of Serie A but it has nothing to do with it being an Italian league. |

"Can someone please explain to me why being Italian is such a problem? "
Easy question! answer: They always beat us at national and team level...plus they always win with their conservative, defensive, unatractive approach to football. Did you see the Liverpool/Milan CL final? What a shame to see a team with so much talent play so conservative to win a final...
I don't have a problem with Italians or with Toni. They are one of the friendlies people in Europe and nothing would make me happier than seeing Toni have a great impact at Bayern, and maybe, help us beat Italian teams...specially Milan!!! |

Thanks for answering. However, are those the only reasons why some may not like Italian players. I understand not being a fan of a team/player because they always seem to beat your team but I don't think that is a good reason as to why one doesn't want someone on their team. I thnk the reasoning as to why one doesn't want someone should be stronger.
Personally, I got the impression that many did not like Italians because some dived a lot. Also, as for their style of play, well I've actually watched some of Italy's game (Euro Cup) and Serie A before their season ended and I didn't think their play was that bad. It wasn't the greatest (not like the Bundeliga) but not as bad as some have made it out to be. Seriously, I've seen worse. I guess it's just a matter of taste.
Again, thanks for answering and now back to the topic... |

well matakos, you are taking it too seriously ... um just saying that i dont like the italian national team (and ac milan) because they play very unattractive football except for (kaka) and they always win on controversial/lucky/cheating/refree mistakes goals... |

dont forget that Toni is Italian, in football statements like those might affect the game and the appearance of certain players. Bayern Munich is a German team but it is also a global one. From that pic, the joy of Toni is obvious but Ribery is looking satisfied as well. The only one who is not smiling is Hoeness , well he will be smilling if Toni and Ribery will turn into reality their words about "rewarding Bayern". Lets not forget to thank Sagnol who in my personal opinion was one major factor why Frank came to us.
Lets wish our new boys GOOD LUCK and COUNTLESS GOALS ! |

I second that, Willy Sagnol has Bayern and Bayern fans in his heart, very much like Lizarazu.
And speaking of Toni, notice guys that it's the third time we have an italian player in the squad. The other two were also forwards, but of course nowhere near Toni's capabilities. U'll definitely remember one of those two, Antonio Di Salvo. But do u guys remember Rizzitelli? |
