have a feeling that that was it,there won't be any really big names this summer as a year ago....
I think the squad needs further improvement in order to mount a real challenge on the CL..... |

| I don't think Lahm would have stayed without an assurance that the team would be made champions league ready. But then again, Hoeness and co. have this absurd idea that the team is a top team is europe as it is. Midfield improvements are a must and 1 player could be added to the other areas of the park to say the least. |

Gattuso Commits Future To Milan
Bayern Munich will have to look elsewhere for a defensive midfielder with the news that Milan star Gennaro Gattuso will remain with the Rossoneri.
The Bundesliga side had been strongly linked with the tenacious Milan midfielder, but the Italian World Cup winner has committed his future to the Serie A giants until 2011.
“We are still friends and I am going to stay at the club another three years and will also end my career here” he explained after a meeting with Milan vice president Adriano Galliani and trainer Carlo Ancelotti.
Gattuso joined the club in 1999 from Glasgow Rangers and has gone on to become a favourite with the home fans for his combative and never-say die attitude.
However the 57-capped Italian international will have to settle for playing in the Uefa Cup next season after the Rossoneri could only finish fourth this season.
With veterans Cafu and Serginho definitely leaving the club, the news that Gattuso will be remaining comes as a boost to Milan, who have also been buoyed by the news that Paulo Maldini will play on for another year.
I said in a topic not to be so sure that gattuso is coming. |

| But there is still hope for everyone who wants Gattuso. Players change their opinion very often in a short period although Gattuso is not that type of player. |

Gattuso confirms Milan stay
Midfield ace to stay put
Gennaro Gattuso has confirmed he will be staying with Milan.
The 30-year-old has been strongly linked with a summer move with the likes of Bayern Munich and Manchester United big admirers of the Italian midfielder.
But Gattuso has revealed that follow talks with Milan supreme Adriano Galliani - who would be staying at the Giuseppe Meazza next season and indeed he intends to finish his career with the Rossoneri.
"I am not going away because all my doubts have been cleared up. I want to make clear I have never talked about money," he told a news conference.
"I will finish my career at Milan, I will definitely stay until 2011."
It is believed Gattuso had sought clarification on his future after the club sealed a deal for Arsenal's Mathieu Flamini - but Galliani has now assured him of his role with Milan.
The agreement to keep Gattuso could be as big a deal as Milan do this summer, although they could yet seal a double raid on Barcelona for Ronaldinho and Gianluca Zambrotta.

Adriano Galliani and Rino Gattuso held a press conference tonight to comunicate the midfielder's decision to end his career with Milan.
RINO GATTUSO:
"I'm not leaving because I cleared up all my doubts. We discussed some issues these days, but it wasn't about money. I'm ending my career with Milan, I'll certainly stay until 2011 and it will be important to leave because if I didn't do it now, I certainly won't do it later. After 2011 we'll see what to do.

| its officiall now he has signed a 3 extension for milan. oh well a good player we could have had use for. We need to bring in a world class midfielder. Narsi is only 13.5 pounds buy out clause. Buy him he is world class, and he used to play with ribery. get him |
