It's true that what VDV did was really crappy and insulting to HSV fans (I was myself upset about the whole thing since HSV is sort of my "second" team due to my family being originally from Hamburg). On the other hand he has never stopped performing and has remain a leader for his team. I think its worst when a player is so focused on leaving that he doesn't play well for the team (as happens very frequently). I think VDV is perhaps the most entertaining player to watch in the Bundesliga, he is so unpredictable, creative, and with such a gifted left foot, that is obvious no bundesliga team would've been able to hold on to him for too long. I hate to see players that grace the league go somewhere else... |
