To make up for the time, energy and money spent (registering the domains, hosting and advertising), I have decided to put up an advert on the top right of each page. I've chosen one which should not interfere much with the design.
If you would like to support the site, please consider placing a bet with our sponsor. You can find the list of available matches by clicking anywhere on the red top bar of the advert.
If this advertising does not generate enough money, I will consider using other forms of advertising, which perhaps would interfere a bit more. Please keep this in mind, and if you like the forum then try and do your part to help keep it alive.

Ok, Google ads are not working at all. Does anyone have any suggestions? 
You as a visitor of this forum, is there any type of advertising that would possibly interest you? I'm spending quite some money in advertising this forum, and so I'd like to cut down the expenses. |

I know they're really annoying, but when I ran my website a few years ago, the most profitable were always the pop unders.... aside from that, amazon ads brought in quite a bit of revenue... they're keyword enabled, and will only display relevant items.
worth a look at least |

Hmm, I'll check out Amazon ads.
Pop-unders or pop-ups are something I definitely will not implement though. They're very annoying, as you said, and I don't want this forum to become annoying. Also, popup blockers are killing the popup window market. |

3rd on mine 
Google still hasn't indexed the site properly. Once it does, it will shoot up in Google rankings. I've done loads of search engine optimisation modifications to the forum, and I'm basically waiting for them to pay off. In a month or two, a lot of people will start coming in via Google searches. |

That was written in September though... now Google has indexed the pages well  In fact if you search "Bayern forum" in google, we're #1 |
