Coming to the topic, as I said before, Mourinho will be terrific for the German league. And, We could definitely use such a charismatic character at our club.

I agree with you completely! Angel

Wenger reached the Champions League final 2 seasons ago with a team that consistently has less net income than Bayern Munich.

To reach to the final only once is not that big achievement if you were the manager of the same team for 10 years! obviously, Wenger is a good manager and he made history with Arsenal. but as for Bayern, this policy of building a team of young players won`t win us huge titles such as the Champions League. and for me as a fan, I don`t want to wait any-longer.

Post subject: Guus plays down Bayern talk Reply with quote

Guus Hiddink has played down reports linking him with the Bayern Munich job, stating he has not been contacted by the Bavarian giants.

With experienced tactician Ottmar Hitzfeld due to leave the 20-time Bundesliga champions at the end of the season, speculation has been rife on who may take over.

Russia coach Hiddink, who is tied to the nation until the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa, has been reportedly high on Bayern's wanted list.

Rumours

However, while the former PSV Eindhoven manager is flattered at being linked to such a prestigious club, he says there is nothing in the speculation.

"There's been no contact (with Bayern). I've just extended my contract with Russia until 2010, with a view to the 2010 World Cup," said Hiddink.

"There are always a lot of rumours, and Bayern are a big club in Europe. To hear my name linked to them is nice, but there's no substance in these rumours."

I saw that Hiddink news today, I really wish he would be the next coach. Unfortunately, he never even occurred to me as a candidate because of his current job. He is the man though, he's always making (relative) success stories out of teams with limited options, I'm sure with a squad like ours at his disposal Bayern would DOMINATE as long as he was around. Too bad it seems it'll never happen...
