Yeah, that guy is going to be on the hot seat if AC don't move up in the standings and end the season in the top four. They have problems but I guess that is because they really did not bring in anyone young this past off season and they can't win at home. Ronaldo is a joke and their keeper is one big drama baby (I guess Gattuso even made comments about the keeper). So, if Bayern want Mourinho, or at least are interested in him, then they need to talk to him now. If AC Milan don't improved then their coach will be gone by the end of the season.

BTW...I don't think he will be the next Italian NT coach.

JOSE Mourinho's spokesman on Sunday fuelled speculation that the former Chelsea and FC Porto coach could be ready to consider a move to German giants Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich president Franz Beckenbauer has said he would like a man of the calibre of the Portuguese coach to replace Ottmar Hitzfeld whose contract expires in June.

And Mourinho's spokesman Eliado Parames told the weekly Die Welt: 'It's always gratifying when one one of the biggest names in football brings up your name. Bayern Munich: why not?'

Beckenbauer said during the week: 'Our club needs a big name. He has got to be a great tactician, have already accumulated experience and have command of the German language. Mourinho? Why not? He could do a language course between now and the summer.'

Mourinho, 44, is one of the most sought after coaches in Europe since being sacked by Chelsea in September. He lead the club to two Premier League titles.

He also lead FC Porto to two Portuguese league titles, and the club also won the Champions League and UEFA Cup under his direction.

Mourinho has also being touted as a possible replacement for Dutch coach Frank Rijkaard at Barcelona.

Mourinho hasn't done anything special. He has won the Champions League with Porto which was a one-off situation. Now when he went to Chelsea, there was the supplier of money, bought many players and won just 2 premiere league titles (i'm not saying that they are not worth anything, far from it). Abramovich wanted the champions league but Mourinho wasn't able to win it even though with all that spending on players!!! A great manager is one who can lead a team from difficult situations and with normal financial support to the top. Look at Ranieri. He is doing a great job at Juventus with young developing players and Chelsea sacked him!

I think folks need to get rid of the notion that because Mourinho worked for a man who had tons of money that he should have won the CL. The fact is is that money does not always buy championship. A team can spend millions and millions of dollars but that is no guarantee that the championship is theirs. Look at the NY Yankees. They have the highest spending of all the MLB teams and yet haven't done much in awhile. So, just because he did not win the CL with Chelsea does not mean that he could not win one with Bayern. It all depends on the field and team chemistry. Anything can happen on any given day, which is what makes life and the game interesting.

I agree with tracylynn. also, Mourinho is still young as a coach and he will get more experience through out the years. for me.. I love Hitzfeld and I think every Bavarian does! so, I want him to stay with us even more but if we have to replace him with somebody. I`d choose Mourinho or even Lippi.. they are two of the biggest names in the world

Then maybe Mourinho shouldn't have bought all those players and at least develop and give a chance to young players from the youth academy. Look at Wenger, he's a genius in choosing and developing the right players instead of always buying the world's greatest. If Mourinho comes, be assured that young german players in the Bayern academy can forget their chance of playing for the Bayern first team and instead leave for other teams.

Mourinho did that at Chelsea because he had the money. A good coach adapts to the needs of the team. At Porto, he helped young players develop.

How many times have Wenger won the Champions League or even reached to the final?! I believe in (talented) young players but I don`t believe that they will bring you a huge title, especially in Europe. unless you are ready to wait for years until they get enough experience

Wenger reached the Champions League final 2 seasons ago with a team that consistently has less net income than Bayern Munich.

I somehow do not rate Wenger that highly. I do agree that he made some GOOD buys in Hleb, Rosicky and Fabregas. But, as a coach, I don't know if he is worth the praise he gets.

Coming to the topic, as I said before, Mourinho will be terrific for the German league. And, We could definitely use such a charismatic character at our club.
