Bayern And Tottenham After Barreto Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur are reported both lining up bids for Reggina’s Paraguayan midfielder Edgar Barreto.

The 23 year old only moved to the Serie A side in the summer from Dutch Eredivisie side NEC Nijmegen but has impressed so much in his first five months in Italy that ‘bigger’ clubs are allegedly in the hunt for him.

He has shown great vision in attack, but without lacking in his defensive duties.

Despite this form Reggina currently lie in 19th place in Serie A.

During his spell in Holland Barreto was considered one of the finest foreign players in the league.

Bayern and Tottenham will have to stump up a fee in the region of £4.7 million in order to land the talented youngster.
