Frey is one of the best goalkeepers in the workd in my opinion. but i think rensing is great for bayern.
"Kahn’s current understudy Michael Rensing is only 23-years-old and, although rated highly, is deemed too inexperienced to fill the big man’s gloves."
how would he get experience if he would stay on the bench all the time |

Bayern & Milan Fight For Frey
Bayern Munich and AC Milan are locked in a battle to sign Fiorentina goalkeeper Sebastien Frey, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.
Frey has established himself as one of the best shot-stoppers in Serie A, and he has produced a string of stunning performances this season.
The Frenchman has long been linked with a move to Milan, who are expected to sign a new number one in the summer, following their troubles with Nelson Dida.
However, according to the Gazzetta, Bayern are now set to rival the Rossoneri for the 28-year-old’s signature.
The Bavarian-giants, who are well clear at the top of the Bundesliga, are looking for a new goalkeeper in order to replace retiring legend Oliver Kahn, who will hang up his gloves in June.
Frey has been recommended to Bayern by Luca Toni, who signed for the club from Fiorentina last summer.
Ironically Toni and Bayern could face Frey in the final of this season’s UEFA Cup. Fiorentina play Glasgow Rangers in their semi-final, while the German-outfit are up against Zenith St Petersburg. |

i can't see us going for him... we'd probably go for someone either inexperienced, or not at that level, we need a backup keeper, not a first choice one!
we'll probably pick someone like Stefan Wächter from a struglling club if they get relegated |

Frey Staying In Florence - Agent
Sebastian Frey is likely to stay at Fiorentina according to his agent, despite reports claiming he will join Bayern Munich.
The French goalkeeper has, perhaps, been Serie A's best goalkeeper this season and his presence was a key factor in making the difference for the Viola's success in Champions League qualification.
Frey has constantly been linked with both Milan and Bayern. The Rossoneri are in desperate need of a goalkeeper as both Nelson Dida and Zelko Kalac seem like they are on their way out.
Munich on the other hand need to replace the retired Oliver Kahn who hanged up his gloves at the weekend.
However, it seems as if neither club will be able to land Frey after his agent dismissed the reports.
"Frey? I think he will remain in Florence," Carlo Pallavicino told TuttoMercatoWeb. "So far there haven't been any offers from any clubs and he is happy working alongside Cesare Prandelli.
"Seba is very happy with Fiorentina and he now has the chance to finally play Champions League football with the Viola so I doubt he will be leaving."
The Viola beat Milan in the race to play Champions League football and it seems highly unlikely that Frey will give up that chance and play in the UEFA Cup with the Rossoneri.
