Podolski has scored 23 goals in 41 appearances for Germany, but has not been as successful in Munich after a 2006 move from Cologne, with just four goals to date in 25 league matches.
Podolski remains prolific on the international scene
He has failed to score in his five substitute appearances in the Bundesliga this season following a comeback from a summer injury.
Klose, 29, has been out of action for three weeks with a knee injury, but between him and Italian World Cup winner Toni, the pair already have a 16 goals between them after just 10 league games.

I think people are being to hard on podolski. When he was transfered to bayern in 06 everyone said he was a phenome and was the best strker in germany. This is the reason he has been in bad form. There is to much pressure on the youngster to be the best in the world. He was brought here to be the starter but with the arrival of klose and toni it has been harder and harder to get a starting job.yone
Give him time and he will show everyone he is the best.......though he better hurry before klinsmen cleanses the roster. |
