Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are reportedly leading the race to sign FC Zurich Tunisian midfielder Yassin Chikhawi.
German newspaper Bild revealed in their Tuesday’s edition that the 21-year-old Tunisian midfielder is on top of Bayern, Werder Bremen and Hamburg’s wish lists.
Bayern’s sports director Uli Hoeness confirmed that a deal could be sealed for around nine million euros especially that Chikhawi is under contract until 2012.
The report confirmed that Werder Bremen and Hamburg are also very interested in hiring the player seeing the probable departures of Brazilian Diego and Dutch Rafael Van der Vaart from both sides.
Chikhawi made a huge impact with FC Zurich since joining in last June coming from Etile du Sahel as he scored seven goals in 15 games since moving in last June. |
