You guys crap me up. I know this aint the place to say this but Macedonia is Greece for over 3000 years now. Your "Macedonia" is Slavs Bulgarians Albanians and so forth, everything but no Greece and nothing in relation to Macedonian land, customs, history and language itself. Therefore Macedonia has is and will be Greece buddy.

The 24 year old has confirmed that Bayern are keen on signing him and has revealed he is open to such a move.

“My managers and the two clubs will meet for final talks, that is when everything will be known and whether I will be heading to Munich” Pandev explained.

“There has been also interest from Liverpool and Valencia as I have been told, but Bayern has the most serious approach and by now had several meetings with me, my managers and my club.”

Pandev is a real firm favourite with the Lazio fans at the Stadio Olimpico since joining them in 2004 having scored 32 league goals in 82 starts.

Recent reports from Italy have suggested that the Rome club are intent on keeping Pandev until the summer - when he will then leave the Italian capital, with Munich looking his most likely destination for the time being.

Munich lead Pandev hunt
Germans target Lazio star

Bayern Munich have emerged as favourites to land Lazio star Goran Pandev, although Liverpool and Valencia remain firmly in the hunt.

The 24-year-old has confirmed that Bayern are indeed looking to sign him and the Macedonian looks to be keen on the idea.

"My managers and the two clubs will meet for final talks, that is when everything will be known and whether I will be heading to Munich," Pandev revealed.

"There has been also interest from Liverpool and Valencia as I have been told, but Bayern has the most serious approach and by now had several meetings with me, my managers and my club."

Pandev has become a firm fans favourite at the Stadio Olimpico since joining them in 2004 and has bagged 32 league goals in 82 starts.

Recent reports from Italy suggest Lazio will keep Pandev until the summer - when he will then depart Rome, with Munich looking his most likely destination at the moment.

Thank you for your excplicite hstorical lessons, but sorry those lessons are wroten from greek people and because of that they are not accepted for the rest of the world. By the way your country is against USA, against Turkey, against 1,000,000 albanians in your country, and who nows against whom you are, but in footbal subject to reply with politics is in saint. therefore PANDEV is hell of a player. He need extra coach (Bayern will shure have it) and he need Championc leag. Taking this fellow Bayern will have new look in his attack. Regards to everybody

Regarding Pandev, it's just who we need, an attacker who can dribble. But will that mean that Podolski is on his way out (possibly on loan)?

Regarding the Macedonia/Greece dispute, you guys can never agree because there are reasons by either side and the naming dispute is not officially settled yet. More info on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macedonia_naming_dispute.

He is a hell of a player LOL ok .

Second, im not going to continue this because its stupid this is Bayern's forum.

Third, Mutu my friend we can never agree?LOL listen to the guy, they are Slavs claiming greek history.

Fourth, when my ancestors wrote history and created civilazations my friend Vardar, yours were still living in caves in the far east.

Fifth, history written by Greeks ? LOL you don't even want me to remind you of the Persians, of the Egyptians, of the Bactrians, of so many other nations and of Alexander's words and PLUS of Alexander's civilazation who considered them Hellenes like the Spartans like the Athenians like everyone else. Show me one but one archaeological finding coming from his ancient kingdom saying that he and his ppl were not considered Hellenes. That their language, their religion, their customs, their participation in the Olympics, their sole existence was not Greek ?

Sixth, where did you get all those Albanians in my country ?

Seventh, if your in here for Bayern, then stay but if your in here to debate with me about something ridiculous then **** off the easy way.

Ninth, take me and you. i myself come from the land of Makedonia nowadays Greece. If you claim to be one, then talk the freaking language, I''ll get you a script from the ancient kingdom of Macedonia and if you understand it then I''ll pull down my pants and you can cut my thing off.
Vardar is your name ? LOL Wasn't it the name your country was called 50 or so years ago ?

Ninth, stop insulting me or my country because you obviously have no idea about anything related to the ancient world and you grow up with the BULLS the nationalists feed you up there.

Tenth, for those who have no idea about the incident. Considering Macedonia non Greek is similar to considering Thebes, Athens, Corinth, Sparta and all the other ancient Greek city states non Greek.

My apologies to evryone and Mutu i wont post again about this.

Now i'd rather keep the current strikers than buying new ones. We need players in other areas and not more strikers.

Whoa!!!! Interesting discussion but if you want to continue it then start a thread in the miscellaneous section. Personally, I love to hear about it in more detail because I've always been fascinated by Greek history and such.

Back to the topic at hand....Pandev and whether Bayern truly wants him and whether or not they'll get him. Personally, I have no idea but if we do get him then Podolski would be out the door.

Pandev> Podolski

Podolski: If Pandev Comes, I'm Off Lukas Podolski could be on his way out of Bayern in the summer if the club bring in Goran Pandev

Bayern Munich striker Lukas Podolski may be forced to leave the Allianz Arena if the club sign Macedonian star Goran Pandev.

The Rekordmeister have been heavily linked with the Lazio striker for months now, with Pandev's comments to the Gazzetta dello Sport suggesting a deal was almost done.

"The negotiations are near completion," said the Macedonian. "As soon as everything is decided I'll move to Bayern. There is also interest from Liverpool and Valencia but the Germans have made the greatest effort."

Lazio are still fighting the sale, but the Italians' heavy debts suggest Bayern's cash may force their hand in a €22m swoop.

Should a deal be struck it would clearly be bad news for Podolski, who already this year has barely started any Bundesliga matches as he finds himself behind Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose in the pecking order.

The former Cologne striker, voted best young player at the last World Cup, says he won't be leaving just yet, but will have serious discussions about his future with Bayern bosses nearer the end of the season.

"I'll wait until April or the start of May," said Podolski. "But then we really need to talk." Bayern already rejected a move from Werder Bremen to take the striker last summer.

Goran Pandev will stay at Lazio. There are no talks with Bayern Monaco. This is his agent’s clarification. He met with president Claudio Lotito before Christmas. During the meeting, Lazio’s no.1 reassured the agent with a promise: both sides will meet again at the end of the season to discuss the contract renewal (the current contract expires in 2011). Pandev’s comments published in the last days “have no ground. He has never said anything on the matter. This is only to destabilise the relationship between the club and Goran. There is no negotiation with the German club. I think it’s normal that he is liked, given his talent”, stressed his agent who reaffirms that the player wants to stay at Lazio.
